That's funny ... I was calling around and "We're out of all of the handhelds ... except the PSP's..we have those."![]()
I liked the Super Mario Bros, but I beat it too quick.. just not as challenging as it was when I was younger I guess.I'm a nerd so I liked Big Brain Academy.

If Chris does end up with one, I'll post where he got it for sure ....![]()
The Lite is littler(is that a word?) and has a much brighter screen.

I'd appreciate that.
Bump*
Anyone find out anything????
Target in New Braunfels is supposed to get some more on Friday, FWIW.
There were tons of them everywhere yesterday & the day before.
Today, nada.![]()
Hopefully someone in town will have some by Friday, if not, New Braunfels it is.
PSP's really getting sold short in this thread.
Overall, the DS is probably the better system for most people, but there are definitely reasons to buy a PSP over it:
1. If you like compe ive multiplayer games (i.e., Madden, NBA07, Street Fighter Alhpa 3, etc.), PSP absolutely kills DS. You can play these against others over wireless connections.
2. GTA. GTALC is awesome over multiplayer if you can get a few people with PSPs and copies of the game together.
3. The PSP is the best portable video player around. The screen is outstanding.
With that said, if you just want a game system, DS is probably the better buy. If you don't have friends/coworkers/classmates with PSPs and you're not looking for compe ive games, DS is the way to go. If you plan on playing only single-player, Nintendo DS if far and away the best choice.
I bought the PSP though. Its a lot of fun playing it wirelessly, since I work with a lot of game nuts who have PSPs.
Bull . Don't tell me DS's Madden even compares to PSP's.
DS Madden
PSP Madden
For multiplayer stuff, PSP kills DS. DS is far better for most people than is PSP, because most people don't buy a handheld to play each other, and because DS has some amazing platformers (ie New Super Mario)... but for people who like sports games, DS is crap compared to PSP.
Plus, soon you will be able to play PS1 games on the PSP. You can now already if you own a PS3, but it's a month or two off if you don't. I know I'm going to get some of the old Metal Gear Solid games for sure.

personally, i like being able to play GBA games on the ds. never had a GBA so i got to catch up on all those sweet castlevania games i missed out on like aria of sorrow. playing mario kart online is pretty sweet too, but i didn't get a ds for online play.
I'm sorry but those are some pretty crappy graphics on the DS compared to the PSP.
You're a few years late on that observation.
I've had both ... I sold off my PSP because it's not very portable, whereas the GB Micro (holy that was small) and DS Lite are. Also, as bb said, DS has much better single player games. The novelty of wireless is cool - but how often are you around wireless to play multiplayer games when traveling? I know I'm not!
That's actually the first time I saw the graphics for a sports game like Madden on the DS.
Ah - well, pretty much anything with a lot of curves is going to look bad on the DS, so footballs, helmets, shoulders, etc. all on screen at once is going to be horrible.
The PSP is huge if you get a hard case for it, which is pretty must a must have if you just dropped $250 on it. What is the DS's battery life like? My PSP goes about 5 hours before needing a recharge with the screen at its highest brightness settings.
I can go about 5-6 days with moderate (3-4 hours) use on regular brightness ... so about 15-18 hours total, along with just closing the lid instead of hitting power sometimes.
MoSpur:
Walmart on 78 in Converse had a bunch of them last night when a coworker bought one for her daughter.
I have a side question: Should I buy the new PS3, XBox360 or a Wii system? and why one over the other?

Which do you like more? Zelda or Halo?
Halo... Though technically my favorite type of games are (in no particular order):
Need 4 Speed Series
Jedi Knight Series (Outcast, Academy etc...)
Tiger
Burn Out
Tekken
I've only played Halo 3 or 4 times...
