Rocky VI was everything I had hoped it would be. An excellent movie that did an outstanding job in wrapping up the series. I had goosebumps for the entire last half hour of the movie.
Manny, I hope you like it.
The best way to see Rocky Balboa is to watch all of them first like you're doing. I bought the Rocky Anthology for all of my brothers for Christmas and the replica Boxing Glove necklace too from Rocky III and V.
Rocky meant alot to me and my brothers growing up. I took them to see it Christmas Eve and gave them the necklace after the movie when emotions were flowing from the Rocky farewell.
Man, my brothers damn near teared up.
Manny, it won't hurt to watch part V, his relationship with his son in V might be good to watch again.
You can even buy a small replica Rocky statue from the original sculptor. That's pretty awesome.

It's wierd. It was as bad as I thought it was going to be but still great. My fiancee and her best friend ACTUALLY WERE CRYING AT THE END!?
So did you like the movie?![]()
Im doing the marathon today as well.
Im in the middle of Rocky III right now.
Stallone really acted well in this one. Was he nominated for an Oscar in 81 or whatever for this movie?
IMO, he should have.
Coming from someone that finds Kenyon Martin amusing.....
Wow, they really played up the Cold War aspect in ROcky 4....
Man, Rocky IV sucked WAY more than I remember it sucking. I-III were solid, but IV and V were weak, really weak.
I liked Rock IV.
The only part that stunk was why'd Apollo have to die? Couldn't he have been seriously injured or something?
The soundtrack for it was nice. What made the movie good for me were the training montages and the fight.
i like 1-4.. 5 sucked and 6 was a great movie too...
Funny. IV was my second favorite to the original (they are close to tied). I didn't like V at all.
My order (I know I posted it before) is:
I/IV
II
III
V
I'm not sure where to put Rocky Balboa. Probably up there with II.
Ala Rambo III. This is was during Stallone's most patriotic days.
Also, check out Rambo IV:

Some of the 'would-be' story lines seem hilarious.
There were some great one liners in IV, but it was basically one big long ass montage with crappy 80s hair band music.
I rank them like this:
I
III
II
IV
V
Five sucked way worse, and I think one was better by FAR then the rest. II and III were very good, and IV was OK but man, I remember it being better.
I dunno.
I think I like 3 better than 2 and 1.
3 was a damn good flick.
It had the most acting by far of everyone.
Isn't 3 the one with Mr. T? Or I'm confused on the numbers?
yeah it is.
The story line was really good I thought.
On par with 1.
for me its
3
1
2
4
5
cant wait to see ROCK BALBOA should be good.
I'll rate like this.
Rocky I
Rocky Balboa
Rocky II
Rocky III
Rocky IV
Rocky V
prediction?
PAIN!!!
best line in the whole movie!
We are also on a Rocky Marathon. We've watched 1-3 so far.

"ROCKY BALBOA", 49 MILLION at the box office so far.![]()
It has already doubled it's budget in only 12 days. Nothing but profit since last week and it hasn't even opened Worldwide yet, only in North America.
Stallone is proving all them haters wrong. Most people laughed about a new Rocky and dismissed it as a box office failure immediately upon hearing the first announcement.
Man, it's gonna make a killing on DVD too.
Congrats to Sly. He gave us a true hero character for over 30 years.
