Indiana are a good team, Jo, Harrington plus some good role players. They are no walk over. As Pistons found out.
im going to the game tonight. they should win but they always freakin lose when i go.

Maybe, I wouldn't be surprised if they lost only because these team trade W/L like candy. Anyway, I don't think the BTBs will be a factor. Mavs were coming off a BTB last time we played the Spurs in November and we also played another game the next night, won all four.
Although, I see what you're saying now about this being the second game of a BTB. Oh well, no excuses, we just need to get up early on the Pacers and rest some of the guys as much as we can. At least the first game's at home and the flight to SA is less than an hour long.
Mavs are playing really good after their slow start. Thanks in part to Josh Howard playing out of his mind, Jason Terry being consistently good, and Dirk not choking. And that Devin Harris, who I still am not sold on and think is the Mavs X Factor, is playing good for them as well.
Damn, I hope this doesn't last.
Dirk has not been playing that well, not better than last season. He didn't choke in the Suns game but overall, I don't think he's been playing that well, seems like his mind is elsewhere sometimes, maybe he really does feel some residue from the finals. His stat line does surprise me some nights when he still gets his 20/10 but he should be doing better and he makes some stupid rookie mistakes with the ball handling that piss me off. Hopefully he's just biding time until the playoffs but damn, I wish he would bring it just a bit more on gamenight.
Sounds like Tim Duncan
Both guys seems to be not playing as hard as they know going all out this early is not needed.
yeah i know. im just not making any excuses, cause if i start to talk about the back2back, then Spurs fans will say im making excuses. its a lose, lose...

the Mavs don't have to worry about Denver tomorrow night
No Melo, No JR, No Camby, No Nene, No Kmart..........
AI would have to score 100pts for the Nuggets to win![]()
eh, i'm still thinking it could be a good game because the mavs have to fly to that snowpit that is denver tonight and i hope there are no delays...mavs starters didn't play ridiculous minutes but they still averaged about 30 min. apiece and tomorrow will be the second of a btb...they usually do alright like after they played the spurs day after thanksgiving and logged lots of minutes they went the next night and beat the hornets so i'm not overly concerned, just interested to see how they'll play and respond tomorrow night
ouch![]()
we've lost 48 of the last 51 games @ Lakers.
but i like the way we defended Kobe in our last game. we double, tripled him, he had to pass it to people like Kwame and Walton and once they ed up, he started jacking up shots and then it was over. of course @ san antonio and @ utah is gonna be hard as
Yeah that schedule doesn't seem to hard except for of course at San Antonio. Dallas will probably lose 1 or 2 of those game between San Antonio, LAL, and Utah.
Dirk was terrible throughout the 4th quarter on the whole, with that tip-in dunk and final shot being the only 2 he hit in the quarter. To my dismay, however, they were two of the biggest shots of the game (the others being the Amare alley-oop dunk and the Howard twisty lay-up).
He hadn't played well the entire game, it's not like he suddenly choked in the first quarter, he was just having a bad game, there's a difference. Anyway, don't take my posts out of context, I was referring to the last shot he made...he MADE it and didn't choke and up his shot by freaking and taking stupid bad shots ala Croshere.
I wasn't taking it completely out of context - he hit the shot he needed - Marion played the wrong kind of D by loading up on his right side and trying to force him left... everyone knows Dirk shoots better when he goes to his left, so you need to force him right and Marion screwed that up.
Admittedly, Dirk didn't take a dribble, but having the defender on his right side is still the way he likes to shoot. If that shot was one millimeter to the left, it was bouncing off the rim, but he rattled it in there just right, which is what all-star's do.
But looking back at the film the other night, I noticed that everytime Dirk was forced to his right or a had a defender to his left, he was clanging it off the rim. I just don't know how any of the Suns' 5 coaches didn't notice this and tell Marion to crowd Dirk's left side and force him to shoot heading right... kind of like they could have told anybody to put a hand in Jason Terry's face.
I think the streak stops in San Antonio. I think we beat Seattle and Indiana(could easily lose this one, though). Indiana is a solid team.
Terry and Howard are shooting extremely well lately. If they shoot like they have been in SA and Dirk shows up, they will win. Those two's jumpers will decide the Mavs fate in a Mavs-Suns or Mavs-Spurs series.
Haha, I KNOW how...dang, just look at D'Antoni, the guy is like RUN RUN RUN and SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT. Look, I think the Suns need a more balanced coach who can see the things you pointed out about the defense because I agree with you. Until then, they will have loads of potential to become a monster contender but whether they will realize it is all up in the air...either the players have to do it on their own (unlikely) or they need to throw some sense into the coaches' heads.
