THis game was won on the trenches.
ANd Boise can compete with anyone in the trenches.
As far as USC goes.
They can defeat USC. Ian Johnson is a great runner, and Peterson has more peters than Pete Carroll. ANd that's not a knock on Carroll.
IMO this was probably the best game I've seen since Texas won the championship with Vince Young.... ing awesome game.
I swear Im not biased, I dont have a favorite NCAA team and just happened to have it on TV while playing the computer, one of the few games that actually got me freaking pumped. I didnt care who won, it was just great football.

...the trenches? holy crap....did you watch the Rose Bowl today? USCs D would kill boise state and there is no way state could stop our receivers.
Yes, USC's freshie and soph o line outperformed.
Yet BOise's OLine was a real unit, as if they've been playing all 4 years together.
And about USC beating up on Boise because of superior passing, not so fast.
USC is mortal, and Peterson and Co could devise a plan to stop JDB.
Boise St.'s risky offense can catch USC's d offguard.
So it'd all come down to exectution and heart, and in that, BOise would win.
hmm, let me think...........no.
People said there was no way BSU would stop Adrian Peterson....![]()
the best team in the country would have beaten UCLA for a shot at the le, end of story.
You don't know that is true. You think Boise doesn't deserve the chance to try?the trenches? holy crap....did you watch the Rose Bowl today? USCs D would kill boise state and there is no way state could stop our receivers.
There was more than one "expert" saying how Boise would not be able to keep up with OU for a variety of reasons. They went on the field and went nose to nose with a team that, going into this game, was playing as well as anyone outside of Columbus and took them out.
Maybe Boise does get killed by SC or Ohio State or whomever.....but maybe they don't. There is no way that anyone can say with any accuracy or credibility that Boise State has absolutely, positively, 100% chance of not beating anyone in the country. There is a very good chance that they could go up against an OSU or USC and get killed...on the other hand, they could just as well pull off the upset of the century.
My point to all this is that they should be given the chance to try.
D1-AA does it.
D2 does it
D3 (the real student-athletes) does it.
The big boys should too.

This is what I have said countless times. Actually ALL sports on just about every level from kindergarten up to the pros in any sport.....you name it......has some type of playoff system. Only FOOLS justify the BCS bowl system.

Uhm. USC playwed Michigan in their own backyard, too. Second, USC beat Michigan by 14. Ohio St. was up by double-digits to Michigan when Henne through a long pass on 4th-and-forever that should have never been allowed. So don't start the USC is 100x better than Ohio St. crap. Besides, like you even said, USC LOST TO TWO teams outside the top-10 (top-25?) while Ohio St. won ALL their games.
Maybe. But you can't say that unequivocably. Let us not forget that Oregon State beat USC, the same Oregon State team that was TRIPLED UP by Boise this season.
Absolutely ludicrous that this stuff isn't settled on the field.
Unfortunately, BCS proponents will probably use some crazy logic using last night's game as evidence that the BCS is 'working'...
LMAO!!!!!! Good call K-State.....I forgot about that. Boise St. KILLED Oregon State and USC lost to em.
STFU haters......Boise St. should have a chance at it period.![]()
Every game is its own en y.![]()
IMO common sense tells us that Bosie St would've beaten SC.
