Johnny Ludden: Parker out

Tony Parker was a surprise scratch from the lineup for this afternoon's game against Memphis.

Parker worked out before the game, but came into the locker room and said his right hip was too tight. He apparently strained sometime in the Dallas game.

The Spurs had been expecting Parker to play. Beno Udrih will start in his place.

Coach Gregg Popovich doesn't think the injury is severe and Parker could be back for Tuesday's game against Portland.
