Nope, the Spurs'd have to cut someone.
I'd like to see him play some NBA talent. Can the Spurs sign him to a 10-day without making a cut?
The NBADL is too hard to judge. It's like watching an And1 game and drawing conclusions about the talent levels.
Nope, the Spurs'd have to cut someone.
Do the Maggette trade and get Conroy. He's way better then Beno.
Greg Sutton shout-out.
Nice.
beno is beyond useless.
vaughn is useless.
could conroy be that bad a gamble? I think no.
Conroy has 10 assists at halftime tonight against Dakota. I wonder what he could do with a halfway decent offensive bigman.
Well he ended up with 14 points, 15 assists and 4 turnovers tonight. I'll get a good look at him on tv and in person next week if he's not called up.
the only reason he "sucks" is because people see him that way. he runs the offense pretty well, and since hes not asked to do anything on offense, it seems like he isnt a good player. hes a solid defender and i think the coaching staff likes him.....get rid of beno
Conroy just got another triple-double.
Sign him and Chris Webber and waive Beno, Vaughn, Bonner and call up white.
What do you know? Nothing according to SequSpur.
21 pts, 15 ast, 10 reb and 5 to in an OT road loss to the best team in the western conference.
Nice.
Only problem is, the Spurs don't care![]()
If a trade goes down, they may have to care. I get to play Sam Smith for forty more days.
Does he even last another week in DLeague? If the Bucks hadn't traded for Boykins, he probably would already be in the NBA.
Yeah, if he plays like this in the showcase next week, someone is probably going to pick him up before it's over.
Why oh why don't the Spurs tap D-league talent for some 10 day look overs?
Because their roster is full.
Tonight's 66er game is being streamed on the internets.

I'd keep an eye on Mike Hall too. Nice tweener who has six boards after the first quarter.
Why isn't this guy in the NBA yet????
No, he sucks because he sucks. Do you? know anything about basketball? Do you watch Spur games? If the answer too both questions is yes, then yoy know that to be a good point you have to make open shots, distribute, and get to the rim, 3 things that Beno doesnt do. I used to like his game a lot as a rookie, but he is as about as bad as any player in the NBA, he has regressed beyond belief. If Spur fans want Atkins or a NBDL er over this guy that should tell you something.

Conroy gets the NBA call
By DAN RALEY
P-I REPORTER
Will Conroy, the University of Washington's career assist leader and one of Seattle's all-time gym rats, has picked up a new basketball label.
As of Monday afternoon, call him an NBA player.
The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Conroy, who was enjoying a breakout season with the Tulsa 66ers of the NBDL, presumably to a 10-day contract, according to a family member.
The point guard reaches "The Show" after nearly two years of wandering through the game's minor leagues and dealing with a career-threatening injury, namely a leg stress fracture that required surgery last year.
Conroy is the fifth former UW player currently on an NBA roster. He joins former teammates Brandon Roy and Nate Robinson, who play for the Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks, respectively, and Dan au, also of the Blazers as well as Bobby Jones, now with the Philadelphia 76ers. au spent just two seasons with the Huskies before transferring to Gonzaga and playing against Conroy.
Entering the week, Conroy was leading the NBDL in assists with 10.3 per game, edging out Idaho's Randy Livington (10.0) and Colorado's Julius Hodge (9.4), and was scoring 15.8 for the 12-14 66ers.
Conroy had been selected but not announced as an NBDL All-Star, a situation that no doubt will be rendered moot.
Leaving the UW, Conroy was not drafted but signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Lakers. He played on the Lakers' summer league team and was released.
While auditioning for teams last year, he had a leg stress fracture uncovered on an X-ray, a bad break waiting to happen. Conroy underwent surgery that required the insertion of a pin to reinforce the damaged limb. He was told to stay off his leg for up to a year, but was playing again in half that time.
A legendary pickup game player in his hometown, he played for both Garfield and Rainier Beach high schools before heading to the UW originally as a walk-on and receiving a scholarship.
He watched enviously as Seattle friends and fellow hoopsters Jamal Crawford (New York), Martell Webster (Portland), Jason Terry (Dallas), Roy and Robinson each had worked their way into the NBA.
He had fired his agents, Eric and Aaron Goodwin, after months and opportunities passed without a breakthrough.
Conroy, who will wear his trademark No. 5 with the Grizzlies, should join the team in Memphis in time for tonight's game against Dallas. And Jason Terry.
Memphis have no roster spot available, they have to waive someone before signing Conroy. That's strange.
^^Or trade Atkin for a pick? If not, who do you think they will wave?
