They've got the Fight Network up in Canada. Wonder if we could get it down here if we bothered the cable and satellite companies enough...

[QUOTE=desflood Could have passed on watching Heath Herring getting his ass handed to him by somebody who's only been in mma for a couple of years, though. That stunk. I wonder if he got overconfident, or if it was just nerves?[/QUOTE]

That was the most disappointing I've ever seen. I had a bad feeling when he weighed in with jeans and a shirt on. That is sometimes a sign that the fighter is out of shape. I REALLY hope he just underestimated this fight and will have a better showing next time.

    I thought that UFN sucked.

First off, Rashad knocked out a nobody. oh wow Salmon was untested and had never had experience fighting in a big promotion. I understand they are trying to build Rashad up, but come on, you are going to put him in a MAIN EVENT with a nobody?? That's just inane.

As far as Heath Herring is concerned, dude, quit your whining. You don't like to be on the ground? How about learning some takedown defense! How about trying to put forth some decent sub attempts! Don't lay there raising your hands in frustration to Big John because O'Brien is controlling you on the ground. O'Brien had a load of opportunities to put away the fight since Heath kept giving him his back, but I don't fault O'Brien. He is young, and hopefully he will develop that part of his game.

Hermes Franca looked great. Definately my favorite fighter of the night.

VERY disappointed in Heath's performance...looked like a completely different guy. His whining was very annoying too...

Apparently Heath says he tore his mcl in his knee 3 weeks ago. He said to those who have followed his career that his stance was so funky so his left arm could hang and protect the left knee. He also says the knee prevented him from having any sort of guard on the ground. Hopefully he heals well, comes back, and shows his true ability. He was definitely OVER hyped by the UFC. He's a good fighter, but he's been beaten severely by Nog, Crocop, and Fedor (it's ok to mention his name, Rogan! ). The real Heath is somewhere between the hype and what we saw Thursday...

Joe Rogan backed what he said on the UG...

    Thank you Hermes Franca!!!

Lister was flat dominated by Marquardt...30-25, 30-25, 30-27.

Evans KO on Salmon was brutal...glad to hear that Salmon is ok. He actually looked pretty good in the 1st round (won the round) but he obviously has flaws...

It's only January, but that could be the KO of the year. Of course, Crocop hasn't fought in the UFC yet

    and this...

was he had to have done that to win a bet...

and Dana and Rashad disagree on whether or not he'll fight Jardine...
