    OK, great, all you suckers that are so unhappy with Holt and want him to sell ... who the in SA has that kind of money laying around? Nobody. If he sells it will be to someone who will move the team elsewhere. Then what the are you going to complain about?

    "Oh, golly, gee, I sure wish that greedy asshole Holt Cat would have thrown away a $150 million profit to keep the Spurs in SA."

    Sure as , the same people complaining about Holt now would be the ones complaining loudest should this happen. And it would serve your collective whining asses just right.

    I hear there's going to be an NBDL team in South Texas next year. Get ready.

    Ok sucker, some of us have already pegged the suspects on that one.

    For the second time now:

    * Lowry Mays, former prez of Clear Channel's got about 2 billion in the bank

    * Former head of SBC lives in SA, net worth in the neighborhood of 1 billion

    * Former President of Dr. Pepper, also in the billions

    * USAA

    * Frost Bank

    * Toyota

    * Michael Dell - doesn't live in SA but he's 45 minutes up the road and worth a couple billion

    What I really hate is some of you people who get down on your ing knees for Holt and Pop like they are saints. I realize to an extent Pop has his hands tied by Holt, but sooner or later you've gotta nut up and speak up.

    No one's asking Holt to throw away 150 million profit. ing read. The Spurs are pulling in, and this is a low ball figure, about 12 million a year in profit. That's on top of the net appreciation of the franchise since Holt bought it. Given that, and like I said you can bet your ass it's a low ball figure, there's no excuse not to drop another 3-4 million a year towards putting together a team that can win more les in the Tim Duncan era.

    And keep in mind that's just money outlaid, they'd be making most of it back.

    But hey, the fans of SA. the team. Duncan, Parker, and Manu. Let's surround them with a ty ass supporting cast that's good enough to make the idiot people of south Texas think we've actually got a shot at a ring so they'll fill up the AT&T Center every night and line the pockets of the ownership with more money. And anyone who calls them out for it [/CubanMustGo, Tfart]

    I'm not asking Holt to sell, I'm asking him to okay the ability to go out and get a player on a multi-year contract. And if it isn't too much, to choke down a few thousand dollars and pay the luxury tax instead of forcing a move that isn't basketball related.

    Not to mention you know there is some cooking of the books going on.
    If these are like the Forbes articles of years' past, the figures are estimates
    "cooked" up by the magazine.

    As for the luxury tax, it's here and there's only one team that doesn't care about paying it nowadays. No new owner is going to come in with the express intent of going over it, so get that out of your minds.

    I wonder if Spurs FO can't at all get a player with more than 2 years left on his contract. This summer they have offered a 4 years contract to Pryzbilla just few years before signing Elson and Butler.
