Yeah, I see Kobe backhand people who roof him on his jumper all the time I mean, there's not a game that doesn't go by that Kobe doesn't wind up and deck some guy blocking his shot...

Kobe has said how much he loves his wife before, but that didn't stop him from going Captain Colorado on some hotel worker.
Blah blah blah Colorado, is that all the Kobe haters have to come back with? Please.

AHF, I admit, I don't follow Laker games except when they play the Spurs, but go ahead and give me some recent examples of Kobe backhanding someone every game.

Um, I came with the fact what he did was a punk ass move from a punk ass . He was even taunting Horry about getting way with fouling him on his game winning shot attempt. Dude is a prick.

And as to the second part of your response, it's called sarcasm. That was my point, this is the first time ever Kobe has decked someone after they blocked his shot. Therefore, I'm going to argue that it wasn't an accident, as you claim.

Sorry that went over your head.

    I . . .

    WAS . . .

    THERE . . .

First Lakers-Spurs game I've been to since Game Six in '03 (the "Crying Game")

This was sweet. Hopefully, I can post some pix.

    I agree AGhoopsfan.

I believe Kobe reacted to getting stuffed by taking it out on Manu popping his glory shot.

He may respect Manu's game from afar, but on the court, the dude is a prick! He doesn't care who you are, he'll take any opportunity to taunt or prop himself up. And if you threaten his glory game. He'll be pissed. Whether you're an opponent or teammate! (Elbowing Sasha)

That said, when you get blocked, it's quite unnatural to take the forearm like he, did.

I think he got pissed he got owned and reacted sorely! The dude deserves his props for his play this year, but I'm not defending him for his cheap sportsmanship.

What I liked about this win is that the Spurs won a big game against a solid playoff team on national TV on the road. The Spurs overcame ice cold shooting and they made up for that in part by beating the Lakers big time on the boards. I like how a handful of guys made terrific contributions. Great win, indeed.

Do you honestly think Horry got all up in arms about a former teammate and friend taunting him? I doubt it. Kobe tried to create contact on the shot when Manu blocked him, that's all there was to it.

I liked how in the 4th there was a collective effort. Tony made sure we didn't LOSE OUR EDGE. hit some big shots. Manu was great in executing. The whole team did great though!

Why don't all of you stop whining and picking at each other over such a stupid non-incident. Is Manu ing about it? I didn't even see it, didn't even see the game. But I'm pretty sure that the incident is being exaggerated. These are pro athletes, they are compe ive, such happens. Maybe it got whistled, maybe not. But nobody got hurt and the Spurs got the in win. I hope that EVERY team has a player which takes a non-injury threatening swipe at a Spur if it will get the Spurs on edge, fired up and will rally them.

I'm just saying, the guy is a prick on the court. . It's not some big revelation.

He was trying to create contact, after he had been blocked and the ball was away, by swinging wildly out to his side at the height of someone's head?

Oooooooooooooooooookay, whatever you say there, Ginofan

Normally when I get blocked playing basketball, I throw my shooting arm out to the side and behind me as hard as possible. Don't ask me why I do it, cause you know, there's not really a point to it, but still.

    /sarcasm

    GD-
The contact had Manu laid out and bleeding. It was a big deal when it happened because Manu had to get patched up and the bleeding stopped to play in overtime.

I do agree with you about this incident lighting a fire in the Spurs though. It is a great day when the Spurs can overcome a few bad calls and pull out a win....especially against the Lakers.

This was a great win for us and it might be the re-birth if Finley. As for the Manu incident, I didnt pay much attention to it because I was jumping up and down like a mad man cuz Manu blocked the shot, I only saw it once but IMO I dont think it was intentional, but I will be looking at it some more.

Which explains why Spurs fans in this thread were defending Kobe.

Looks like that "thin skin" goes both ways.

Now you are lying? Wow...its really thin.

You are a Laker fan, you are here...therefore ALL laker fans were not banned.

Do you often use ignorant, blanket statements for effect or do you actually believe all fans of a team think and act the same exact way?

    Good....glad you admitted it.

That being said, it was a of a game from both teams. Kobe was MVP material, IMO in this game.

Perhaps Spurs fans don't like it pointed out that they have the dirtiest player in the NBA.
