Legend.
This list is a sham without "Case of You" by Joni Mitc and "Something" by the Beatles.
"I could drink a case of you, darling,
And I would still be on my feet."
Legend.
"You Are So Beautiful" - Billy Preston/Joe er
"When I Fall In Love" - Nat King Cole![]()
"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” by Roberta Flack is a beautiful song...Charo’s version is a bit strange...Something like...1st time ever I deeda saw dweew face...

We were listening to #7 when I proposed to Ruth...
Yes, but what song were you listening to when you proposed to the woman that actually said yes?

in all seriousness, this lyric is one of the best romantic lyrics ever:
And the first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move through my hand
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
"Take on Me"?
"Heart of Gold"?
Puts every song on the list to shame.
Admit it, you've already started singing it in your head.
Yeah, how the did heart of gold get on that list? I love that song, but its not a "romantic" song.
I never thought of "Heart of Gold" as a love song. Great song -- not a love song.
And the lyrics of "Take on Me" are a bad translation from Norwegian. They make no sense at all. What's romantic about that?
Man,the more I read that list the more it pisses me off. Al Green and Marvin are ranked WAY too ing low.
I'm sorry, but this is what happens when white New Yorkers put together a list of love songs.
Heart of Gold? I just called?

Wino song.
I guess "Nurture My Pig" placed 101st.
I could come up with a long list of problems with this top 100 if I felt like thoroughly picking it apart.
But the fact that "Hooked On A Feeling" by Blue Swede and "I Will Follow Him" by Little Peggy March made the cut, while neither Sam Cooke's "You Send Me" nor Van Morrison's "Sweet Thing" were deemed worthy really says it all.
And how did 'Closer' by NIN not make this list???![]()
lol, I freakin' looove that song but I don't know if they'd call it "romantic".
I know...I can't remember what it's really about, but I'm sure some people think it is!
Oh yeah!
LOL I thought y'all were joking about NIN's "Closer" being romantic.
I guess maybe to Marilyn Manson it would be.. or something...
"Lady In Red" anyone?
One of my favorite songs
