there is a 'Scoreboard" where chelsea's used to be, you can FINALLY drink in the mall again
i work with a buddy here in austin that recently moved from victoria actually and he calls yoakum- " stroke em yoakum" which for some reason was actually kinda funny to me.
yeah true, but you dont say yoakum after just Strokum
i have escaped, visit twice a year at the most and only during the day - overnight one every two years or so. i make my parents come up here to austin.
brown bag? sports emporium(gone)? what about the cowgirl club, where steve alexander snuck off between 6 and 10. i can't believe brubaker is still on the air.
Brown Bag.
Got hammered the night before my wedding there (Shiner Blonde and Rumple Minze shots). Had to stumble back to the La Quinta that night.
yeah the don is still on the air
sports emporium is gone, too many people getting shanked and shot
brown bag is still in full force
except the bartender there is a total bag
Dude, I want stories that even Larry Flynt wouldn't publish!
Obi, I saw your semi-look alike in the Green Mile yesterday. The warden's wife. An older version, but very similiar.
Chelsea street Pub was the ing shiiiiiiiit
You could get wasted as then go roam the mall for viejas
I wish I had been old enough to do this....they closed that down immediately after some christian ass es bought out the mall and did not think people had any business being drunk around a mall.... faces
they made a new sports bar there but its really lame, although they make the waitresses dress in cheerleading outfits
it is also very funny that the Chuck E. Cheeses is like right across from the Sports Bar. LOL
they had an impressive mound of nachos there as well. have you ever noticed it seems like the same people work at nikis roma in v-town as the nikis pizza place in dobie? it seemed that way when i was a freshman at UT in the mid 90s.
I remember the nacho mountain thing, we used to get that. It was amazing.
About Roma's pizza--The guy who runs the Victoria one is the younger brother of the Dobie Mall guy. My chode literally burst at the seams when I found a Nikis Roma at Dobie, and got to konw the workers there since I ate there like every tuesday - thursday. The owners look exactly alike, but the older one is grayer, and fatter.
glad to hear you guys are still alive
haha, i figured they had to be related but even the guys who worked every day at both places seemed like clones.
VHS, class of 95.
Ohhh man i woulda splooged myself if she were my math teacher
yeah the MHS stuff sounds lame. my best friend's mom still teaches at the senior high school - Mrs. Anderson. i think both my brother and sister got out before the MHS crap though. that totally backfired on athletics, they thought they could get all the best athletes from the other side of the tracks, and now they just BLOW ASS in football. they were pretty good when i was in high school, got to the state quarters or semis once.
oh yeah, been busy but around![]()
Damn Wranglers was THE place back in the day.![]()
no ? wow.
I love Romas. And I love the old dude that own it. He always throws in an extra slice or a calzone.
man i really loved whe nhis boys were in High School and worked there part time...they was fine.
and I got drunk at Chelsea plenty o' times before they shut down. it was awesome.
brown bag shuts down the day after freezes over.
noones mentioned 205 or downtownbar&grill
How did Victoria not get an NBA franchise?
One time, at band camp, in V Town, a buddy messed up his knee and I carried him home!
