What a joke this is.
Shawn Marion is quite possibly the most overrated player in the last 20 years. He has absolutely NO offensive game of his own. His scoring comes from a combination of the system fast break points, plus garbage buckets from boards. I think JHo and Carmello >>>>>>> Marion

What a joke this is.
while i COMPLETELY disagree with Parker getting voted in over Howard, as Howard has CLEARLY proven to be the better basketball player, it really doesnt matter anyways. their focus is to win an NBA le. thats all that matters.
Um Marion plays Howard's position, not Parker.
agreed, 100%. Marion always chokes in the playoffs, cannot create his own shot, and teams are MUCH more focused on how to defend Howard and Carmello, as opposed to Marion, who gets half of his points on alley-oops from Nash.
Agreed. Marion went down in every category this year and the only reason he still averages double digits in rebounds is because the Suns are a horrible rebounding team. Howard and Carmelo are both much, much better players.
Yeah people make mistakes but when is the last time the leading scorer in the NBA threw a sucker punch and then ran away?Didn't he learn ANYTHING from the brawl in Detroit? Nope.
Carmelo was on thin ice as it was with his past transgressions. You would think the guy would know to stay on good behavior but like I said before, he's an immature idiot. I have no trouble with him being left off just for stupidity alone.
Yeh i gotta agree that Parker was an interesting choice. I actually thought Deron Williams was more deserving
Howard will get Boozer's spot. Good way to recognize two players.
And damn, 2 from NJ and Detroit each?
it doesnt matter, because Parker was a wild card, or whatever its called. position doesnt matter.
so KG can try and start a fight and still start in the ASG? Nice, typical NBA crap.
No Melo is understandable after the MSG brawl but Josh Howard should have made it : great stats, great team. BTW, Suns have 3 all stars, Mavs only one. I now hope that Stern will pick him.
And it's a surprise for Parker, he has been very solid this year but I'm not sure that Spurs deserve to have 2 all stars this year.
Carmelo should get one of the replacement spots. He served his punishment, let it go.
Well, there's always the 3-point shootout for the Mavs.
Chris Paul and Deron Williams in the coming years are going to be tough compe ion. Tony's going to have to keep getting better to become a fixture, but I don't know any reason why he'd stop improving.
First time in the history of the NBA that the leading scorer gets snubbed from the ASG.
Stern COULD still pick Melo, it depends on how their meeting went after the suspensionIts in Melo's favour that he didnt make a fuss or appeal
Apparently the coaches in the NBA thought he was better. Oh well.
Props to Tony. Well deserved.
He dates Eva and is an AS. He should be thank his lucky star.
Well first of all KG was voted in and secondly he isn't on the f*ck up list Anthony is on.
JHoward is the obvious choice to take Boozer's spot. I'm not sure who will take Yao's spot. I guess Okur, but I think they should go for someone else.
And you know this how? The article didn't state who was positional and who was wild card...
After the performance Okur put on last night in a nationally televised game I wouldn't be surprised to see him take Yao's place.
You're supposed to make mistakes, then learn from them, redeeming yourself, and causing all fans everywhere to love you. 'Melo is stuck on part one.
When Coaches have chosen reserves (last week), Melo had played 25 games and missed 15 games : I'm not sure that a player who has only played 60% of the games deserve to be an all star.
@ Josh Howard clearly proving to be better than Parker.
How?
