i'm a little disappointed, but the guy is still a stud. he just can't stay out of foul trouble...which is very irritating. but, if he comes back next year that gives us Jones, Jordan, and Davis...thats better than what we have this year.

I'll give acie credit, he singlehandely won that game and owned the out of dj augstine in every way shape or form. college bball is a PGs game, i see aTm being a totally different team without him

Losing Acie will not be overcome overnight. The team should still be top 25 next year.

perhaps, we shall see next year. but i thought the young Ags played great when Acie left the game. this may sound crazy, but i think the team could be even better next year...could be.

Some parts of the rotation may improve, but you are losing the one guy who can take over a game and hit some clutch shots.

i agree with that, the guard play will be key. but i definitely see the front court improved and our depth better.

Kinda like Barnes in the press conference after the game last night.

^Enjoy it while it lasts. You beat a Texas team that lost EVERY starter from last year's team, wow, congrats. But as for this bull about winning at a 3:1 ration from here on out, give me a ing break, are you that delusional?

Believe it or not, Texas basketball has established a pretty good tradition of winning here in the last 8 plus years, and I don't think we're going to just fall off the map because a&m is having one good season.

But you guys keep pumping each other up with the ag love fest, it's funny to watch, sad and pathetic, but funny.

Congrats on your 8 plus years of winning. I know the horns will be back, but if we want to pump each other up and be delusional because for the first time ever, we have a special team, then you can just deal with it dude. We've heard how great the horns are for a long time in every sport and for once we are getting our moment in the sun.

^Damn, you're right Ron, you've got me pegged. I feel like I might have an Oprah moment any time now and just start gushing all over the place. Like I said, enjoy the success but excuse me if I'm not just falling all over myself in fear of mighty a&m basketball.

Damn, I'm laughing even as a I write this. I know it all relates to the inferiority complex that most a&m fans have regarding UT, but it's cool, I don't hold it against you.

In fact, I like seeing a&m improve with their sports programs, makes for better games and keeps that flame of hope alive that someday you'll actually be recognized as a top level college sports program.

^It's typical ag bull , crap on UT all day long with their inferiority complex and think that one ongoing decent season somehow cements them as one of the 'elite' of college basketball.

The fact is that Barnes is every bit as good a coach as anyone in the country and he will also continue to bring in top level talent. He's been doing it for 9 plus seasons now. , I like good compe ion and it will be fun to watch head to head battles against a&m, ou, ttech, ok. state, etc.

But excuse me if I'm not joining in the big love fest, I'm a UT fan and will continue to drop in on your little inside threads about a&m just like you guys feel free to comment on UT threads, such is the nature of message boards, get the over it.

    1. Gillispie is a better coach than Barnes
    2. A&M owns t.u. this year

    ...get over that.

^Based on what jgw? Your personal opinion? You want to compare coaching stats between the two, success in the tournament?

In that case it's even more clear that Barnes is the better coach if you're going by stats, deal with that.

And a&m does not 'own' UT this year, you guys defended your home court and their is still one game left to be played in Austin. If a&m wins that game, yes they have 'owned' UT this season. But comparing your one decent ongoing season to the kind of success we've had over the last 8 plus seasons is a complete joke.

And I know you know this, so keep up your posturing for your fellow a&m chums and then accept the fact that you're full of .

i am not worried at all about the game in austin...we'll beat you chumps again. and to compare coaching stats between Gillispie and Barnes is idiotic. Billy is better...and its just the beginning.

^Listen, we could go all day about who is the better coach, but at this point all you've got is your opinion, that's it and it doens't amount to much.

Coaches are judged by how much they win and at what level they win at. In that context Barnes is the better coach. He's won coaching in the Big East, ACC and the Big XII with multiple sweet 16, final 8 and one final 4 appearance.

Fact, Gillespie can't hold a candle to that. Deal with it.

...like i said, if you want to compare history...sure, Barnes has Gillispie beat. but if you want to compare who is the better coach....its Gillispie.

i'll pm you when A&M beats t.u. again later this year. scoreboard...btw, whats t.u.'s record in college station since Gillispie arrived? and who has had the better talent? just curious...

I don't know what it is but if you throw out wins, tournament success and draft picks, Gillespie is much better!
