out of 6-7 years the spurs got tony and manu
what other teams with those picks have gotten better players or more good players?

For the most part, I don't think Pop wants to spend the energy developing young American talent. He probably wants to have an efficient practice and then go home and watch video while rearranging his wine cellar.
If he drafts Euros he can let them learn their fundamentals overseas instead of him having to do it. Its not a bad idea, except we haven't been able to bring over a solid foreign player very recently. Mike Brown seemed to be able to relate to young American players. I don't see anyone on the staff now that does that. Maybe they should find an assistant coach who does do that.
What this season tells me is that the Spurs management sucks. I am offically calling for their heads.
While I'm not happy with the recent trading of draft picks, I think you guys take for granted how difficult selecting good players is.
you'd think he would say "we're playing soft minutes" in general.
True, but I find it downright ridiculous that any team with Tim Duncan could be on the verge of becoming a .500 team, much less a team with Tim Duncan, Manu Gionbli, and Tony Parker.
duncan hates early games
ducks is dumb
show me a early game that duncan has played awesome
Gimme their paychecks and i'll take a shot at it.
I will when you show me where you've made a good post.
How is SA at 16 games above .500 and with the 3rd-best record in the league "on the verge of becoming a .500 team"?![]()
We are 10-10 in 2007 you
but at least we've got rings
The only one I'm pissed about is not getting Barbosa (or Howard), but that wasn't the front office being cheap... it was the front office trying to sign Kidd, which was going to be expensive as . Holt was ok with offering Kidd that deal, so I think it's hard to call him cheap.
Lol, "you ". Spoken like a true undersocialized freak who couldn't get any from an inflatable female doll if he poured rohypnol down her blowhole first.
And how am I dissing your team? I pointed out you still had the 3rd best record in the league implying you were still one of the best teams in the league, but I guess your reading comprehension ability is as tiny as your little pud. That reminds me, my turtle wants his penis back.
Ummmm.....
I don't know if you aware of this or not but P.J. Carlisemo use to coach college ball at Seton Hall and still has many contacts in the college game.
LOL that was brutal. I'd say Tek just got owned.
Josh Howard would have gotten like $700K a year, right? How was drafting him going to blow signing Jason Kidd? Were they within a dollar of not offering him a max contract? Was that such a big deal when TX has no income tax?
If Kidd wasn't going to come to the Spurs because of $700K, he wasn't going to come anyway. Not drafting someone in that instance was stupid and in the end, obviously very costly.
Agreed.
What does Pop expect? The Spurs have the most lethal synthesis around: geriatrics and Europeans.

I have been saying since the beginning of the year that we have been playing mentally soft. What Pop publicly stated yesterday has been obvious to anyone who is watching this team play. In the end this team is not good enough to win when they do not play hard or with hunger. Yesterday was a familiar occurrence for this team. The Spurs were pushed around in the second half of a game and did not respond. We're just not good enough this year and I am beginning to accept that.
Eu concordo com voce, 100%! Cade esse cara, Butler? Ele deve ser ruim e gordo ate!
We're giving opponents a mental advantage. They know they can outplay us in the third and fourth quarter. We need to play one or two games without losing these quarters, to get us going again.
This soft thing is a bunch of bull . It's like whipping a horse that just can't get to the finish line first. They are playing as hard as they can. But, when you get nothing from the center position, nothing from your small forward, and nothing from Horry, Finley, Barry, etc.....it amounts to 3 on 5....it is so obvious. Pop is going to lose some guys if he keeps up the soft routine. His act is getting as old as the bench.
