Kori - I understand what was reported and what Pop said in the interview. But my sources still say Pop had already talked/met with Malone before that and there may have been a physical involved.

He definitely had already talked to him via telephone, etc. He's been doing that all summer. I just don't know if they had met in person yet. Pop went on vacation to Maine when he returned from the Olympics. That's not to say Malone hasn't talked to RC or someone else.

Nothing yet fellas. It takes him a few days to get back to me most of the time. Like I said they have both been of the opinion that he would be a Spur from the start. I think Karl knows that SA is the best place for him because of their approach to the game. It's a no nonsense environment where the goal is simple. Pop has done what he has said he would do and given Karl space and respect. In the end I think Karl will be in San Antonio for the start of camp but not be able to practice for quite some time. I would not be surprised if he kept his kids in school in Cali and still came to SA to play ball. I'll let you all know as soon as I get anything. Until then it's just opinions and trying to put two and two together.

My guess is that he doesn't commit to anyone right now...he can afford to stay in California with his family and therapy/workout privately...then, when he is ready to play he will look at his options...who is injured, which teams had a good start...which teams didn't...which teams have the best chance of going all the way, etc...it's his last shot at a ring and he won't want to blow it again...

Funny, today I was at lunch with a friend of mine and I was just saying that I can root for the Jazz now that Malone is gone from there. Karl as a Laker made it easy because the player I always despise and cheer against was on the team I like the least.

I'm not sure what would happen if Karl Malone joined my beloved Spurs. I'd suspect such a move would set off a chain reaction that would result in the end of life on this planet as we know it.
