Don't get me wrong; I'm a Pistons fan and this is my main bball forum.

only slightly more than Sad-Sack Kings fans. But "you stay classy, Dallas!" doesn't sound as good. Sacramento sounds a little closer to the original San Diego is all.

In all the years of having a forum, the Mavs fans were by far the most obnoxious and disrespectful as a whole (I'm not saying all of them) before and during that series. Spurs fans still haven't gotten over their behavior and how much they trashed the forum, that's why so many Spurs fans are asses to them even though it's not necessary any longer. I just wish generally the Mavs/Spurs fans could co-exist with a little more respect like the Pistons/Spurs fan do.
Wounds take time to heal, I suppose. Hopefully, tensions will smooth in the future.

I think a lot of the issue that these message board Mavs fans have with the Spurs is that for years, not only were we the little brother the Spurs beat up on, Spurs fans made sure we knew that we were the little brother the Spurs beat up on. In general Spurs fans take personal offense to someone being a Dallas fan, and treat them like it (meaning like crap). Some fans just don't know how to handle the transition from decent team to actual contender, and I think some Mavs fans are lashing out.
I vote for Mav fans staying in the NBA forum and not coming in Spurs forum. It lowers the SPurs forum average IQ by large margin.

I like this forum bc of the variety of things to talk about in the midst of NBA/Spurs/Mavs forums, there's also politics, a good name-callin' session, flirting... lol... it gets crazy. And I think alot of fans in general come here bc ppl are actually articulate in expressing their thots to each other. Yes, there are the normal idiots... but for the most part, ppl on this forum are well-versed and know how to say this is my point and end the statement without tossin out a b-word, , etc... but there are some that tend to go that way.
However - there are Spur fans who are just as rude to the Mav fans on their forums too... Fans are like that everywhere. True some Mav fans did come over here and deserve to be banned from the internet forever bc of their immaturity, but I have seen my fair share of Spur fans/Piston fans/Heat fans/ whoever fans talkin the same smack all across many boards...
It comes with the forum, I'm glad that Kori takes it all with a grain of salt tho... I would hate for her to become one of those ban-for-fun-and-laffs- moderators like on other threads.

I posted on mavtalk for awhile. Most of the mods are just to damn homerish. The princess chick got all on someone because they though we would lose a game. Apparently with her logic you aren't a real mavs fan if you think they will lose.
I usually only go around if I need to find something out, and there are some season ticket holders who will sell them for under face if they can't go.
FWST had a good forum before Knightridder sold all of their stuff and the forum was discontinued. Mavscentral and Dallasbasketball.com both are good Mavs forums also. I think that the main reason for so many Mavs posters over here is that it is more fun to debate with fans from many other teams than just talking about your team with only other fans of your team. The FWST had that as well. There were alot of Spurs, Kings, Lakers, Suns posters over there to keep things lively....
