The Pumas I have bought the last few years have held up well. Granted, I don't play any sports or workout in them but most people don't either.

nikes are extremely comfortable, but for me they wear out pretty quickly. i bought some adidas 6 months ago, and they seem to have better arch support and haven't worn out as quickly as some recent pairs of nikes i've had. there is something to be said for putting on a pair of nikes and not having to break them in at all though.
