well, quattro weighs it down, but trust me, it's fast.

I would rather have one of these.

oh yeah. No doubt it's fast.
Ride along in an Audi R8 on a mountain road. Scary.

New Rs6 is going to be released and will be faster than M5.
If you've seen the show Top Gear, they hated the M3, although this was not the current one.
My husband was considering one a few years ago, but didn't like the way it drove.
They are coming out with an A5 and S5.
what's new? then BMW will come out with an M5 faster than that RS6.
that's how things go.
I like Audi, but I preffer BMW. I have heard Audi's have more problems than BMWs and don't hold value like a beemer.
I also love that beemers are RWD, it's a LOT more fun to drive.
Also...
The 2008 BMW M3 will compete with the new Audi S5 coupe when both go on sale in the U.S. in less than a year. The M3’s extra 55 or so horsepower, rear-wheel drive, and lighter weight promise to deliver a more raw experience than that of the all-wheel-drive Audi, but we expect the M3 will cost thousands more.

Yes, it is how things go, and I love it.
I prefer Audi's styling over the BMW.
Audi has ty residuals, that's for sure, but this is our 5th Audi and never had any problems with them. And you can't beat quattro when the roads are slick.
S y a gearhead?
Whoda thunk it?
If you have had 5 German cars and never had any problems with them, then either you have sold your soul to the devil, or you have actual German mechanics living nearby to perform maintenance on them.
Either that or her husband is the one that always takes them to the shop.
No, we get rid of them when the lease or balloon is up.

I do like cars. This is the first car I ever bought brand spanking new. Can anyone guess specifically what it is and what year?
![]()
Oh, I see, it's how you define "problem." Lemme guess, anything covered by warranty is not a "problem," and you've never had an Audi that wasn't under warranty.
Now if you've avoided the 1.8T and 2.0T engines like the plague, your chances are better.
VW Rabbit?
and Im guessing nkdlunch is into these:![]()

Do you mean the Shelby GT500?
My A6 we bought an extended warranty for. I had that car for 5 years. The A4 was a 1.8T and had that for 4 years. *shrugs*
But regardless if it was under warranty or not, nothing went wrong with them.

1985 VW Rabbit.
[QUOTE=S y]It's definitely a Rabbit as far as the American name goes. Was that a Geman edition or something?
