    Nice pics.

It must be nice having all that land, a place to kick back and relax and release yourself from the real world. It's pretty popular in Argentina for people who have money to have land like that. My cousins own a lot of land in northern Argentina, in Formosa. Hot as there, but they have trucks they take and drive around the dirt roads...there's a whole bunch of they find there like snakes, tarantulas, cayman (spelling?), etc. My other cousins have land in Patagonia, southern Argentina. My uncle likes to hike a of a lot there by himself. He always takes a gun with him because there's a bunch of pumas in that region that'll up a human.

    Anyway, nice pictures jman.

sounds cool... the only things up at our land that i can think of that would harm a human is possibly rattlesnakes... maybe coyotes if there's enough of em... javelinas and hogs can get pretty mean if you piss them off ... so them too... the only gun i carry when i'm up there is a .357 mag loaded with snake shot.

Trust me, you've probably got a mountain lion cruising through your place.

I'm west of you and we've had them ranging through for years.

Saw one years ago cruise past my deer blind while I was sitting.

Made for a real interesting walk back to the bunkhouse.

i was gonna mention mountain lions... but from what my family has told me there hasn't been one around in 20 some odd years. i know there are a load of bobcats and just recently we've started seeing porcupines. with all the water holes in the vicinity and the rarity in which we visit the place... i'd actually not be surprised if there was 1 or 2 in the area.

i have seen some pretty big ing spiders lately... i dont know if south texas is prone to having tarantulas... but those ers were big.

    Very nice pics!

I spent the weekend in Leakey and got some awesome pics of my kids swinging over and swimming in the Frio.

I don't know why tlong is beating around the bush. He should just fess up and ask the question he REALLY wants to ask... can you raise sheep there, and is there any land for sale?

the big brown ones? they're pretty harmless, at the golf course my grandparents played at near kingsland they would come out in droves at sunset. it was a bit unsettling at first.

Just ordinary Perch... they don't really get that big... biggest ones are probably about the size of my foot. we used to have a few catfish, but they never took.

Are you talking about spiders? I have a mild case of arachnophobia. I would myself if I saw a "drove" of any type of spider.

I have only seen a few of them the whole time i've been up there... they're fast as and hairy. sorry with the anatomy comparisons with myself.. but they're about the size of my palm if i could guess.
