Seriously, any rating that puts the Texas Rangers above the Cowboys is worthless. The Rangers should be DFL...hands down.
Both the Mavs and the Wild (ranked 1st! LOL!) were higher in stadium experience than Wrigley Field and the Cubs.
I don't care who you are, who you're a fan of, or what sport you favor. There is no experience close to a game at Wrigley (aside from perhaps one involving the Green Monster). Nothing has ever approached that for me.

And it's an odd-numbered year!
ANd you know how we do in odd numbered years
why the would i lie about that? i have nothing against san antonio and its people. i probably relate more to the people in s.a. than those from dallas in terms of cultural background.
Don't get out of control here homers. I have been to a Spurs game in SA and witnesses a bunch of office worker, had too many beers and I am tough only when with a large goup of pals, wanna be hard-asses absolutely try to start a fight with this young Mavericks fan who was with his chick. The Mavs fan kept trying to let it go and the office workers threw out some eloquent "white boy" comments and one actually tried to remove his Mavs hat. A scuffle ensued and security broke it up quickly. Granted, this was at a Spurs/Mavs game, and the Mavericks just beat you guys, but the entire situation was ridiculous and completely uncalled for. SA fans are known to be pretty aggressive.
This kind of thing most likely occurs even more often at Staples, I just have probably always just been surrounded by my fellow Laker fans and have never been witness to it.
Point being that these things are very typical of any arena in any sport where alcohol is served with opposing fans attending games. None of this is a reflection of the people in an entire city or area, it'e just everyday assholes being assholes.
Yep that's how it happened. I still remember what he looks like. I'm a pretty laid back guy and he pissed me off. When I go to concerts @ the AAC I wear my spurs propaganda and I always get "f the spurs" all the time. I remember last year @ the last game the Spurs were in town I was sitting by an older lady that was a mav fan. Once I took my jacket off she saw my shirt and said "Oh, you're one of them". From that point on she was acting stupid towards me. Plus she was drinking. She was the type that was older, single, didn't go out much and couldn't hold her liquor well. She had on way too much makeup, wore gawdy jewelry and reaked of some Avon perfume. I kept my cool, but I remember her clapping hysterically when either Manu or Finley took a hard foul or got injured. She was actually cheering for it. We pulled away and started winning and she started getting mad @ me. She made the people that was with her get up and leave because of me. I could've been a prick and rubbed it in, but I knew it wouldn't turn out nice. Plus she was sloppy drunk. Hopefully, San Antonio fans act better. People are way more uptight up here in Dallas.
I think it must be a tie between Dallas and Cinicnnati as the number 1 redneck sports city.
Are you surprised? Don't they boo their own teams on a regular basis therE?
Don't bring the truth to this discussion! Spurs fans would prefer to think that all Dallas fans are bad and all San Antonio fans are goodThe intelligence of someone that actually bases their opinion of an entire fan base because of 1-2 bad experiences must be called into question.
Yea, fans can be bad wherever you are. Especially football games, I went to a Eagles game like 3 years ago in Phili wearing my Newman jersey and barely made it out alive even though Im not small. Those fans where ruthless
Just wait till the Mavericks suck again in 10 years, then go back to a game at the AAC.....you'll find that the same people who were saying " the Spurs!" now will be going "Oh, you're a Spurs fan! You know, I actually kinda like the Spurs, I root for them now that the Mavericks suck" (this of course will only happen if the Spurs don't also suck)
I used to sit in the upper level at old Reunion arena for Mav games and some fans could get down right ugly up there. Anytime, I was down in the lower level it was always cool. I've only sat in the lower level at the AAC and have never seen or heard any bad behavior but I'm sure it goes on from time to time (probably even more so in the upper level).
Side note: I was at Wrigley Field last year (first time ever) and was surprised how unbelievably cool the fans were (at least in my area). Everyone seemed to be drinking a lot but there wasn't any really ugly moments or language. It could have been ugly out in the bleachers though (I wasn't out there). I guess I had this perception of there being a lot of loud, obnoxious fans at Wrigley but it wasn't that way (that day at least).
Yeah, Dallas has a lot of bandwagon fans for sure.
Cubs fans are too depressed to be loud and obnoxious. You've gotta go to the south side of Chicago for those fans.
They can sure drink though. The bars near Wrigley were packed from 3 hours before the game until well into the night (1pm game).
Haha anything to ease the sting of losing.
We used to go to Reunion when the Mavs played the Spurs in the 90's and the Mav fans in the upper deck were lots of fun. It was like going to a Saints game in New Orleans; the team sucked and the fans that were there were there to enjoy the game, win or lose. That's also how I know the " the Spurs" crowd weren't there back then, nor will they be there should the Mavs become a lottery team again.
I'm new to this board, and am surprised at the load of dallas maverpricks fans posting here. in other words, if I wanted to know what fans of other teams were thinking, i'd go find one of their boards to read.
why do you guys post here anyway?
