I like Entourage and all, but no way is it the best show on HBO. It's not even second best, CYE owns that spot.

Entourage is second-rate fluff, and only worth attention because of Ari Gold.
Is season 2 of Rome over yet? I haven't seen any of the episodes and I was hoping to find a torrent.

I had HBO unsubscribed while waiting for the Sopranos season to start again.
is it just me or was season 2 ing horrid? nothing like rushing out a product when you know the end is near.
I haven't seen Rome, but almost all the HBO original series are great.

very true. i would consider it the best sketch comedy show ever, nothing really approaches it.

The colorful vernacular used by Ari Gold is brilliant. He and Larry David are a laugh a minute, imo.

Sopranos was better but last year was just boring half the season Tony was on a hospital bed. For me its a close call between wire, entourage, and rome.
I am 31 and I think entourage is probably the best but the first season was much better than the last.
1. Entourage (wish it was an hour long) Its most entertaing show
2. Rome
3. Wire
4. Sopranos
5. Lucky Louie (even though it was 1 and done i enjoyed it)
Ive tried to watch CYE and I get bored and just change it can't keep my attention.
I don't know, I'm 36 and have loved every season of entourage-really looking forward to the new season.
BUT, I have to say for me it's the Sopranos and then everyone else. Love entourage, the wire, rome, deadwood, curb your enthusiasm.........but it ends and begin with the Sopranos imo.
For the last month I've been going back and watching every episode from every season (have them all on dvd) to get myself all caught up for the last 9 episodes. Can't wait!!!
Cant wait for it to start, by far my favorite show HBO had ever done except for maybe Band Of Brothers. Hated the way the last episode ended, and I hope they clear that up.

the wire takes the cake as far as acting, storytelling, and just all around watchability go. i missed a large chunk of a season and started watching again midway and it was still easy for me to go along.
entourage is better watching it a few episodes at a time on dvd because the episodes are so damn short. i'd put it at #2.
i never got into the sapranos.
what a loss.
i bet that it had some awesome plot lines and acting... but something about a bunch of fat italians/sicilians just didn't do it for me.
sorta a shallow view, though you're en led to it. i disagree. very compelling, fresh and creative imo. easily one of the most solid series i've ever seen. how many episodes you watch?
maybe 2-3 ... at the very most.
good enough. not your thing, it's cool. no doubt this is one of my favorites ever.
down the road if there is a marathon, or i'm drunk sitting on somebody's couch and i spot a saprano's dvd set i might give it a go. who knows.
