If the ABC chick didn't sound like a man when he/she/it was singing, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
I guess they do kinda look like trannies
It's pretty painful, that that's what's happened to basketball--very groan-inducing.
You'd be surprised if those totally oblivious comments on youtube actually reflected a portion of the population. The minority apparently is us!The people saying they like it on YouTube...
Are they human?!
Sometimes I wonder, "What planet am I on? I can't be the only who disagrees!"
If the ABC chick didn't sound like a man when he/she/it was singing, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
NBC or TNT ; ABC no more ;
The only positive thing @ ABC is Hubie Brown ; great analyst
Al Michaels is not a bad broadcaster
Mike breen is![]()

This might erase some of the pain I have caused you...
Oh man, those were the great days.
Great playoff rivalry + NBC = this beauty

Oh man, great memories are coming back.
Why the did those stupid mouse-ears have to ruin much of what I held dear??
worst one = fall-out boy: dance dance
2nd place = this is how a heart breaks
ABC is under contract through next years finals where ABC is expected to resign another 6 year deal.

The future looks bleak. Since ABC is trying to find a single theme to use to comply with ESPN's demands, except to be hearing "Right Now" for a while.

no, wait, scratch that, i think they had a christina aguilera song one year. Horrible!
Is there any way NBC could outbid them?
I can't imagine six more years, I always had this vain hope in the back of my mind that NBC would somehow get the rights back.
And ABC's reign of terror would be subverted.
NBC is the rightful owner of NBA rights.(Though, I heard CBS wasn't so bad)
NBC Memories 1991-2002 R.I.P.
" For one last time, you've been watching the NBA on NBC. ”
—Bob Costas, on the network's last broadcast in 2002.
Right now, two years before the end of the contract, Stern is working to extend ABC's contract... so this is going to be it for a long time. NBC could outbid, and they could have in 2002 too but they were getting losses with their current low bid and had no desire to go higher it seems. Disney owns ESPN/ABC so they have no problem absorbing losses on large bids.
From 2002 to 2006, the NBA's ratings on broadcast television (ABC) have dropped almost a full ratings point (from nearly a 3.0 average rating to just above a 2.0 rating). NBC averaged a 5.5 average rating during the 2002 NBA Playoffs. ABC averaged a 3.3 average rating for the 2005 NBA Playoffs.
Nope. We're stuck with this bull unless one of us becomes a magnate and takes over NBC, ABC, and the NBA.
I would love to email the link of this thread to the NBA
do it.

doubt anything would get done...but it's worth a shot if it stands a chance of overthrowing the imperialistic mouse-eared nation.
I'm going to try [email protected]![]()
If that doesn't work then ABC just needs to buy the rights to Roundball Rock.
Damn:
"During the 12 season run of The NBA on NBC (1990-2002) NBC played Roundball Rock about 12,000 times, or about 20 times per game when going to commercial or during halftime."
Or how about [email protected].![]()
Email sent to the NBA :
A large number of NBA fans really want NBC back in the picture ; ABC is horrible, and the NBA is going to lose a lot of fans because of it.

You got to wonder still...
Despite what I want to believe, even if the NBA moved back to NBC, I doubt that it could regain the grandeur of its glory days....![]()

Ok, after going through this thread, I think I have to buy this now:

Man that Finals coverage in 97 , and then 98. The way they would cover it was great, especially with that decibel indicator, always gave me a big event vibe.
