I'd happily trade Zambrano if it netted me Oswalt and Miller in a keeper league. I'd feel like I had ripped off the other guy.

    EXACTLY!!!!

I VETO LESS THAN 1 trade per yr in all sports COMBINED. This one is too off balance and fishy to ignore.

For such a miscarriage of justice, I still fail to see your other 3 votes to save your team from utter distruction.

Why exactly do I need to vote in a poll in which you made my stance well-known in the first post.

That and I made my vote in the league.

But really, tell me again what I have to hide instead of making idiotic insinuations...

    Hmmmm, dodgin' the poll AGAIN....Hmmm.............

wow, i didn't think it was that lopsided a trade when I made it. Oswalt's bullpen sucks, and will cost him 5-10 wins this season. I've received 2 vetoes right now.

Sorry Blaze, i should have changed the cons ution when I canged the rule. I just didn't think it would be any fun not to be able to trade for minor leaguers throughout the year.

And seriously Dio, if you think that I would collude with someone else in my league you are full of . I've put a lot of work into this league, and wouldn't do that to any of our owners.

The other owners will have until sunday to veto.

, if I wanted to the league, I wouldn't even have allowed the veto. You're making me made brining up the collusion word Dio.

Why, because I'm not the cheerleader that JB is????

I've never questioned your integrity, til now.
I'd held you as a man of your word and honor since we've had our wager last yr.

The way you and your little cheerleader have reacted makes think twice about collusion. I didn't bring it up, your cheerleader did.

First, Oswalt will not, and cannot, lose 5-10 wins for a bullpen...come on. What an absurd claim, thats only possible if he wins like 10 games this year with a 3.5 or lower era. Not possible.

Second, Miller is one of the best 5-10 minors in the game, and has a legit chance at becoming an ace, and can even help a team this season as he is likely to get the call while Rogers is hurt. Oswalt is very similar to Zambrano, and to add a guy like Miller is just silly.

Third, ignore the world collusion. It was a foolish trade, but not bad enough to be cheating, just involves someone who doesn't understand or value minor leaguers, or who just wants badly to win this year. Again, bad trade, but a notch below protesting, and two notches below cheating.

My comments weren't meant to indicate that I thought there was anything collusive -- not that I'd know, since I'm not a member of the league.

And I think anyone who complains about a trade just because someone appears to have gotten over in making the deal is a .

The only reason a trade should be vetoed is if somebody is trying to cheat and load a team. It's not your job to manage a team and make sure each team receives equal value. If somebody likes Zambrano enough to give up Oswalt and a minor leaguer (who may or may not turn out to be anything) then so be it. You're trading stud for stud.

I'm not in the league - but people take their veto power way too far. It's not an unfair trade.

So you're saying that what happened on Opening Day couldn't possibly happen at least four more times in the next 160 games?

Last season, Oswalt had 15 wins and 25 quality starts (tied for first in baseball). Unless that lineup starts giving a ton more run support, which many of us have thought would happen (which is why I didn't trade Oswalt for Carpenter in another league), but has yet to be shown...Oswalt's gonna suffer from a bad bullpen and little run support.

Frankly, if you're questioning Matt's (and mine as evidenced above) integrity, maybe you ought to just sell your team so you're not burdened with people you can't trust.

You know, when Matt came to me about joining the league, I initially declined because there was an owner I preferred not to play in a league with. I simply didn't believe you'd be the one to make me question joining this new league rather than that original owner, but alas, I'm wrong.

Since it seems like you're of the few with common sense let me ask you.....
In regards to the third point above, what if the trading team owners were very closely related?
I NOW bring up this point because it seems like others want to call me out and act like they're so hurt and I'm sooo wrong. I've actually seen trade offers from both owners in other leagues/sports but not a single one has been so lopsided.

I have a right to my opinion and somehow I'm the only one to have enough common sense and balls to stand and & say so. If others are too much of a dumbass or afraid to speak their minds that is their pussy ass problem.
Not mine, I spoke up, so kiss my fat hairy ass.

Dio, seriously man. I didn't think it was THAT lopsided a trade when I offered it to my sibling. I've sent out a bunch of different offers, and that is the one that came back accepted. I really don't know why you are making this big a deal about it. Especially bringing the collusion stuff into it. I asked every owner in the league to Veto it if they thought it was a lopsided trade. You and one other person HAVE vetoed it. 3 others haven't. The rest I have yet to hear from.

Zambrano IS a better fantasy option that Oswalt. Zambrano is projected to be the #2 pitcher in our league by sportsline using our scoring system. Seriously man, all you had to do was veto the trade.

So what you're saying is there's a conspiracy against Dio since only one other owner seems to have a problem with the trade?
