It was a near miss. The black side panels with silver trim very, very nearly were going to be vertical stripes of turquoise, fuchsia, and orange instead.
Oh.
My.
God.
That's actually pretty cool looking.
Last time I checked none of the countries whose flags are shown have Latin as their national language.
GO SPVRS GO!
I like the flags on the sides but not the button shaped patch on the top front part.
Yes, I was just going to post those. I don't think they are putting up a video now since they put up all those pics.
I saw this picture of the shorts and thought WTF? I thought the black area was the crotch area because of the white part on the bottom. The Spurs logo in that area would make a statement, though.

Ooooooh! The important question is whether they will go on sale to the general public????
Yes they will.
From the NBA store or only at the AT&T Center???
Kori, I couldn't help but notice the link to the video of your roundtable discussion on "small ball killing the Spurs". Assuming Horry is unable to play, who do you like out of Bonner, Oberto, and Elson?
When are they going to wear irish to support the red rocket?
the same day they wear blue to honor manu and oberto. When are they going to wear irish to support the red rocket?
What's the big deal? They're like 0.5% different from the regular unis.
No one said it was a big dealIt's just a press release, so it's here.
Elson can't seem to stay out of foul trouble and Oberto can't jump, so I guess Bonner. Though there will be games they will need Elson.

Allying a sporting super power may be enough for a Believe thread to emerge.
Well, if it wasn't a big deal, I wouldn't think they'd make a press release out of it. It's a little like calling a press conference to announce that nothing's going on.
It's not that I hate the new uniforms; I couldn't - they're practically the same.

Did it bring a tear of pride and joy to your eyes?
I still find it incredible that they would put the Puerto Rican flag on there and not include the Knicks.
Perhaps if they would have left our emblem on. Maybe spurschick can fix this travesty.
The actualy change to the unfirom may not be considered a big deal (actually, I think anything more would have been gauche) but the marketing symbolism is gigantic.
Whatever else you say about David Stern, he always knows where the future markets are going to come from.
