Emo kids dont listen to Staind pendejo
DONT CATEGORIZE ME
i listen to a bunch of different bands with different styles...
sunny day real estate, panic! at the disco, my chemical romance, the used and afi
but staind is the best band ever, especially because of their lyrics.
All the times
That I’ve cried
All that’s wasted
It’s all inside
And I feel
All this pain
Stuffed it down
It’s back again
And I lie
Here in bed
All alone
I can’t mend
And I feel
Tomorrow will be okay
But I know
That I’m on the outside
I’m looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
Cause inside you’re ugly
You’re ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you
sometimes i listen to break the cycle while i lay in bed and cry
i sent this song to my ex-gf when she broke up with me:
what's happened to you?
it's obvious you've changed
something deep inside you is probably to blame
must be lonely up there with your head up in the clouds
even though you got there what does your conscience tell you now?
i don't understand how anyone can listen to a song like ob la di ob la da while the world around them becomes more and more of a wasteland of and suffering.
my favorite troll right now
Unbelievably moronic post
It's the truth.
Well, Tlong's favorite song IS Baa Baa Black sheep...
I like them all equally, but i see where some people are coming from when they say that they dont understnd why the Beatles are called the best band in the history of rock, or for that case music.
what I really hate more than anything is when Im wearing a t shirt of said bands and others, and some annoying always has that look like, do you really like them, or are you a homer....cant stand them..
going out to rent the Wizard of Oz and listen to Dark Side of the Moon at the same time..
this thread has given me an idea for an ava....
1. Stones
2. Floyd
3. Zeppelin
\/ way on down...
Beatles.
First three were rock, the latter was pop played on guitar. I appreciate it for it's imapct, quality and popularity, but if this is about rock, the prior three are simply better.
I wouldn't exactly describe Zeppelin as a 60's band...or really Floyd for that matter...both of them were around in the 60's, but it's primarily their 70's work that put them on the landscape.
It's kind of hard to compare them, because Floyd has an entire body of work built around what was originally just a phase the Beates went through. I'd say that just by design you have to put the Beatles over Floyd...since without them there would absolutely be no Floyd as we know it...the members of the band themselves have stated that SGT Pepper was their inspiration when creating their own iden y.
In terms of pure music artistry, originality and creativity......I think Floyd and the Beatles are way higher than Zeppelin..
But Zeppelin is the reason heavy metal emerged as the dominant form of hard rock from the sixties and not Acid Rock. Sabbath was the original Heavy Metal Band but that type of heavy heavy Rock would never have been much without Zeppelin.
As a journalist once described it...they pounded Pscychedelia into submission.
It's a tough argument and I've listened to so much of all of their music that it's hard to really get excited about it anymore...
I guess the Beatles, they were the big innovators, the great songwriters, and they had such a huge impact on every band that came after them(including Zep and especially Floyd). They damn sure sold the most records.
Led Zeppelin's first album was released in 1968
Without a doubt...the Rolling Stones are the most over-rated band in history.
They've released about 50 albums and only have about 10-20 really good songs(and I'm probably being generous here).
The beatles are the most overrated band in the history of american culture....they were pretty boys doing Justin Timberlake-esque music, who decided to follow the crowd and take drugs at a time when counter culture was reaching a crescendo, and also made use of breakthrough equipment along the way...yet some people talk as if they designed the equipment they used.
Bottom line is they were in the right place at the right time, good songwriters but wayyyy overrated today.
In actuality all of these old bands are overrated now, but Beatles takes the cake by far.
And Floyd's first album was even before that...
In terms of pure sixties impact this is no contest that the Beatles have the best music...
In terms of 70's impact it's no contest for Zeppelin and Floyd over the Beatles...
And the Beatles definitely had a bigger impact on the sixties than Zep and Floyd did on the seventies.

How come Rush wasn't included? They formed in 1968.[/Spurminator]
Rush was considered by some to be a LZ clone with their first album but I disagree.
zeppelin is probably top 3 bands of all time
i could go the rest of my life with one zeppelin cd
when the levee breaks
tangerine
going to california
gallows pole
no quarter
hey hey what can i say
thats the way
battle of evermore
were all some of the greatest period.
beatles are overrated but they have some jams, although it took the 60s tv show Wonder Years to inspire them, plus lucy in the sky with diamonds was the first of its kind
but i'll still stand by my statement that pink floyd is one of the most overrated bands of all time, they were the creed of their time, theyre famous more for wizard of oz and their tshirts than music
but mother (should i trust the government no) was a jam, that doesnt make floyd better than other vastly underrated bands of the same era, rush, sabbath, neil young, all rubbed Floyd in smegma
the only other band more overrated is the Doors
plus im so emo im dead doesnt make any sense
emotional is the EXACT opposite of dead
its im so gothic im dead
So if you had to go the rest of your life listening to only one album from each, which would it be?
For me
Beatles - Abbey Road
Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Zeppelin - Zeppelin II(In a close battle with Zep I)
If I had to pick one...
Prolly Abbey Road...it's got the most different singers and and songwriters on it, has all different styles of music. You had Harrison coming into his own as a songwriter and singer, plus McCartney and Lennon were still at their peak...even Ringo chips in with a classic.
Floyd's Smegma will be the name of my new band.
You SOOO don't know about the Beatles. These guys were ing hoods. They were packaged as clean cut mop tops for their first few albums, but they broke out of that as soon as they could. Here's the sequence.
The Beatles took drugs.................everyone else took drugs
The Beatles were politically active.............everyone else decided to protest
The Beatles did pyschedelic music..........eveyone else did psychedelic music
The Beatles did feedback electric guitars...........everyone else decided to
There would have been no counterculture without the Beatles. Period.
Actually it's...Bob Dylan took drugs.................Beatles took drugs.
Bob Dylan was politically active.....................Beatles decided to protest.
Ok, you got me here. The Beatles did pyschedelic music..........eveyone else did psychedelic music
The Beatles did feedback electric guitars...........everyone else decided to
Fixed that for ya.There would have been no counterculture without Bob Dylan. Period.
How come S y never picked?
He's got a load of great songs and managed to stay musicially relevant way longer than any of them.
He's definitely not over-rated...he's still pretty obscure.
its a crime to mention pyschedelic music without roky erickson
roky erickson
