He is the most obvious instance, but I do recall this type of thing happen on every level, including HS ball and a few times in the Pros during rivalry games. I apologize that my knowledge is not encyclopedic, but this was nothing new... well, except for the ejection on a second. That second one was pretty unbelievable.
I have watched enough games to remember at least a few guys get techs sitting on the bench (usually grizzled vets who weren't gonna get PT anyways).

I think at a minimum he should be suspended from the playoffs. In the past, the NBA let Jake O'Donnell go for having a biased thing like this for Drexler. I'm not sure that termination would not be unwarranted in this case. He let it get personal.
