For what?
the Spurs are the dumb asses... not the Suns.

1. Their own pick
2. Joe Johnson from Atlanta
3. Rajon Rondo from Boston
And the Bulls is top 51 protected & it sits at 53 right now so, we should have 3 second round picks.
Oh great, we should be able to find one Parker/Ginobili and a bunch of foreigners...
Nice.
What's the point of a calling it a "Top 51 protected" pick? Why not just call it: "You only get to pick one of the 10 worst scrubs" pick?
Because this is one of the deepest drafts in history & anything can happen & we could wind up with a couple of nice players in the 2nd round.
At 53?
No offense, but this stuff has been discussed about 5 times in the draft thread.
And no, the Suns won't deal a pick to the Spurs.
Spurs DO NOT get Chicago's pick.
http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/b...k.39669f8.htmlOh, so close: Chicago's loss to New Jersey on Wednesday night not only cost the Bulls the Eastern Conference's No. 2 playoff seed, it also robbed the Spurs of a second-round draft pick.
Chicago needed to finish with one of the seven-best records for the Spurs to get the Bulls' second-round pick as part of an October 2002 trade that sent Erick Barkley and $1 million to Chicago.
The Bulls' loss dropped them to eighth place overall. As per terms of the deal, Chicago no longer owes the Spurs a pick.
I thought so; suck.
Sucks even more: Portland doesn't need yet another 2nd. They get it instead.
Wow, what the was our front office doing on that one?As per terms of the deal, Chicago no longer owes the Spurs a pick.
This draft should be interesting.
They traded Erick Barkley.Wow, what the was our front office doing on that one?
Give me a ing break, were lucky it lasted this long.
It was a deal to save the Spurs money. Like usual. Chicago had to add something to the trade, so gave a nearly bogus chance for a second rounder that almost - one game away - came true. It didn't.
I won't lose some sleep because of that because :
- Spurs lack roster spots to draft ncaa players with late second round pick.
- This year international pool is quite weak. Players like Ali Traoré, Mirza Teletovic or Marko Thomas will be the international players available in the late second round pick and they aren't good nab prospects.
- The international scene is now well scouted by the nba. Finding a Ginobili/Scola with a late second round pick is now almost impossible.
Our bench looked bad today.
I think we have to reconsider Scola.
Bonner is not good enough.
This sucks...all the major draft sites said the pick was only top 51 protected.
Shedding Erick Barkley's worthless $1M ass.
