Did not play - Did not dress.
Thanks again, Joey, for calling that a foul on Oberto.![]()
Did not play - Did not dress.
Thats horrible I hope he gets better...I think the Mavs poisioned him!!
DND probably means "Did Not Dress"... ie, was in street clothes. Hopefully it's nothing serious with Fabri.

Wore A Dress - Coach's Decision
I hope he'll be okay! That's scary!
Was he even at the game? Granted, I had bad seats, but didn't see his hair anywhere.
know he wont contribute much to the le hopes, but its still bad to hear him go through this.
I understand that he went to the hospital and had to be put under for some tests for heart arrhythmia. They have to keep an eye on him, but he could be cleared to play by the next game.
what if it was.......bum bum bum.......tony....and then Vaughn got injured...and we got stuck with beno...
Dr. Timothy Theodore Duncan checked out his pulse and diagnosed that yes, Oberto was having a weird pace of heart.
Here's the press release:
SAN ANTONIO – Earlier today Fabricio Oberto felt abnormal sensations in his chest. After seeing a cardiologist it was determined to be a heart arrhythmia which is believed to have been caused by minor trauma to the chest (which occurred in the Spurs-Mavericks game on Sunday).
This evening Oberto underwent a procedure which restored his heart to its normal rhythm. He is in stable condition and returned home after the procedure.
His condition will be monitored for the next few days. Barring unforeseen complications, Oberto will be cleared to play in Game 1 of the Spurs-Nuggets playoff series.

Press Release -
Earlier Wednesday, Fabricio Oberto felt abnormal sensations in his chest.

Oberto arrhythmia
Sounds like they got the electrophysiologist in there to shock his heart.
Outside Duncan, Oberto is probably the bigman I trust the most going into the playoffs. Elson has had an up and down season and had perhaps the worst playoffs of any player in any season in NBA history last year. Horry is playoff proven, but hasn't shot well enough. Bonner doesn't play enough defense. Butler and Ely don't have enough minutes as Spurs to put them on the floor in the playoffs.
Oberto knows how to win big must-win games and his peaks this season (for example, game versus PHX) were higher than any other bigman.
Get well soon. The Spurs will need him.
The procedure sounds similar to the one LaMarcus Aldridge underwent. Aldridge was cleared for basketball contact with a day or two, but the Blazers held him out for the rest of the season.
the last thing we need this late in the season is an injury
ugh
"underwent a procedure"
to be defined.
Next time, Fabri, be more careful when you foul Howard!![]()
Aldredge had/has Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a potential very serious condition where there are aberrant conduction fibers. Chances are he had ablation of those fibers and that will put you out for a while.
Oberto doesn't have that. More likely he had some atrial arrythmia, may have had cardioversion (shock) to restore the normal heart beat.
Thanks for the update Kori. I'll pray Oberto makes a speedy recovery.![]()
The only thing Oberto has going for him is his first name.
Godspeed and get better, Fabri.
As opposed to what all the Blazers will have on their boxscores:
MPA-LT - Missed Playoffs Again - Lousy Team
Supposedly he was good to go in a couple days. If they were in playoff contention, they say he would have missed one game at most.
Hopefully Oberto can get back on the practice court by Friday because the Spurs are going to need him.
yeah, when do you stop resting Fabri?
He did nothing today, and probably nothing tomorrow.
At 31, don't want him inactive too long, lose conditioning.
