Holy crap, are you comparing the Mavs to the Bulls or the Lakers?!?

    That's some funny .

I actually enjoy watching this series more than the Spurs and Nuggets.... it's fun to watch. Maybe because it is so unorthadox. But you can't say these teams aren't playing their heart out, and either of them will be a challenge to San Antonio. I'm looking forward to meeting them in the WCF...
What some of you don't seem to realize is that any series with the Warriors is going to appear unorthadox because of the way they play. It would be the very same if the Spurs were playing them. If the Mavs somehow win this series and go on to play Houston or Utah, the basketball would go back to basic halfcourt traditional style play.

Ok.....you probably do have a point finally......but, this is what I saw last night.

Fast break.......shoots 3, misses.......fast break the other way, turnover......runs the other direction, shoots off balance 2, misses......fast break the other direction, dribbles ball off of leg....inbounds.......shoots 18ft ......GOOD!

Wow, thats some great team work there.

Ironically, when GS tried to run down the clock and play "traditional", that's when they lost.

It's that crazy helter-skelter type ball that scares me... like your example above, how do your defend that?!?

You can't. The Warriors are winning by sure will alone, and if they beat the Mavs, you better believe they'll be confident enough to beat the Spurs!

(not that I'm saying it's going to happen, but I'm not counting on the Warriors to be "easy" to beat!)

That the best description of what I saw......actually I think that kind of ball is the easiest to defend.

On a different level I know....so dont hate, but I saw a city league game awhile back where there was a team of young bruthas that were super athletic, they were dunking and all that.......helter-skelter street ball. They played a team of 40yr old white guys that played D-fense, ball control, good passing......and the wiped the floor with those bruthas. I am a brutha and I was stunned. But, good D, will always rule over garbage time.

Plus, the teams had 14 & 15 turnovers (not a high amount). I'm still not sure what game he was watching. They only thing he said that was partially true was that there were a lot of 3 pt shots taken (by design), but most were by the Warriors.

    he's a 'puist'....

and yeah both teams shot alot of three balls.

GS hit 45% of theirs and Dallas made 47% of their 3's.

Few turnovers because both teams were taking very quick shots. One or two passes and then bombs away.
