Umm, no. You abviously havn't been here for to long. This place is "lively" year round.This place is about ten times livelier than any Spurs win though.
1.Mav boards suckSpurs have beaten the mavs in a number of recent series and you dont see mav boards jumping for joy at the rare Spur playoff loss.
2.The one's that I have been to, had circle jerks every time the Spurs lost.
Just joined the board tonight to call out Spurs fans for enjoying this collapse? Weak.
We've had to listen to trolls talk at an unprecedented level of arrogance for the past 11 months, on our own board. I didn't think there would be new trolls AFTER this series.

1) was giving each other high fives in the bar and yelling ' you Baron Davis' when he went to the locker room
and
2) had the whole bar erupt in applause and high fives when Buckets was laying on the baseline after getting laid out
has LOTS of room to talk about class

I used to root for the Mavs to win as long as they were not playing the Spurs ..... but after putting up with the Mavs arrogance and stupidity the last 2 years ..... I am enjoying their misery ....
DFW has bandwagoning down to a science. Now that the Mavs have been completely humiliated in the eyes of the sports world, DFW will kick them to the curb faster than a $30K Millionaire snatches up a brand newLacoste polo on eBay. The $30K Millionaire lives by a set of rules, the preeminent of which is 'Never, never, ever, associate yourself with that which others make fun of'. Another rule is 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, and you better have given me a couple C notes for sucking your .' The later may have some relevance as Mark Cuban is included in this conversation.

Mavs used to be my 2nd favorite team. I liked dirk and Nellie and I was really happy that AJ became the coach. I even appreciated Cuban (yrs ago) for how he'd shake things up.
It wasn't Cuban's bull and ery that ruined it for me, if you can believe that, but mavs fans. Worst fans in the league. Entiltled (without any les, ironically,) arrogant, bandwagon and generally mean. That whole city has gone to .

You know i really don't understand some people in this great State of Texas?
I understand a rivalry and being upset because the Mavs knocked out the Spurs last year for the first time EVER.
But what i don't understand is how people who live in San Antonio or South Texas root for a California Team to beat a Dallas team? I just don't get it!?!?
I am a Mavs season ticket holder for 6 years now. I have over 40K invested in that 6 years. And every year except for last year i rooted for the Spurs after the Mavs got knocked out. And this year will be no exception. I will root for the Rockets and Spurs to make it to the WCF's and then i will root for the winner in the Finals.
I was born and raised in Texas and I will always root for the Texas team to win if my team has been eliminated. Maybe i am just too much of a Texas gentleman to root for some team in another state that i have absolutely no allegance to.
I see it happen with Aggie Fans and Longhorn fans every year as well. They will root for a team outside our state to beat their rival instead of just worrying about doing it themselves. I just don't get it.
I am hopeful that the fans on this board do not represent the majority of people who live in San Antonio. My wife is from there and she is not like that so i have hope that they don't.
So even though most of the posters here hate the Mavs and rooted for a California team to beat them I refuse to return the sentiment by rooting for the Suns or Jazz.
Go Spurs and Go Rockets. Bring the Trophy back to Texas!!!!!!!!

Same here. I usually head to the Fox Sports Grill in Plano. I wasn't there last night, but I've been there when to watch Mavs playoff games. While some of the local Mavs fans are cool, most are downright fair-weather, jack-asses, who slink out early when their team is having it's doors blown off.I was at one of those uppity 'trendy' bars tonight where everyone was wearing Mavs save me and another coworker sporting Spurs attire.
Funny, the same sorry SOBs who were talking to us during pre-game didn't look so big when they were slinking out the side exit at the end of the third.
Did you cheer when BDavis and SJax got hurt?
Like I said, I used to like the Mavs. I found that the MAJORITY of the mavs fans I have come across have made it impossible for me to respect that franchise and still have any self respect.
Read how the Mavs have acted on this board the last few seasons ..... then you will understand.
Humbled is what I should say. Depressing at least. I'll have to focus on football now seeing as how the Rangers are a bunch of tired bat as well. Good luck against the Suns and hope you bring the Larry O'Brian back to Texas for the 6th time in 13 years, not that you need it.
Dallas is full of so-called 'beautiful people' who think their doesn't stink and they are the worst front runners about their sports teams I've ever seen.
They expect their teams to win to show off how great Dallas is--and by inference how great they are--and whenever they get disappointed by a losing effort they turn against their team and savage them.
I went to the Dallas Morning News today and the lead story was about the Cowboys draft. You had to click on the link for the NBA to find out about the Mavs loss. And one of the sportwriters is already campaigning to get rid of Dirk Nowitski.
Dallas 'fans' are not only jackasses, they are frontrunners who don't know the meaning of being a real fan.
Its true all the Mavs fans that I know are pricks and jerks........ IM so happy they lost.
Mavs fans don't know the concept of humility. We were so arrogant and proud about what a great record the team had this season overlooking the fact that the Mavs proved last year by choking in the finals that that a good regular season means virtually nothing. All the shi_ that gets thrown at the Mavs fans in here needs to be thrown extra-hard so it'll get absorbed. Count me as a willing recipient because I deserve it just for being a fan of this fraud of a team.
I absolutely feel the same way. I would have never, never gone for the California team against the Texas team. For the first time in my life I was really pulling for the Texas team to lose.

I'm so happy that it happened to the prix from Dallas. Cuban is an a-hole and the Jet is a little bas . When is someone going to step-up and whip Jason Terry's ass for his antics with Finley and now Baron Davis???
Well Dallas does have idiots for sportswriters but let's get straight, though. Dallas will forever and ever and EVER be a football town. The Mavs can win 6 rings in a row and they will still be a distant second to the Cowboys. So what you saw in the DMN should not be surprising.
