Wow, your Duncan hate has affected your brain activity.
lets the overrating continues....
i think the article autor is confused duncan with manu, same for finley.
"Unlike a lot of superstars these days, he's willing to put his ego aside for the betterment of the team,"... WTF duncan had (has?)/have put aside??????????
Wow, your Duncan hate has affected your brain activity.
I tried to babblefish that and still couldn't understand it, but please don't get me started on who's overrated in this league.
I really didn't give Shaq enough credit. I let the last two seasons factor in way too much, but over their careers the two are neck-and-neck.
Shaq: 25.9 PPG, 11.6 RPG, 2.5 BPG, 2.8 APG
Tim: 21.8 PPG, 11.9 RPG, 2.5 BPG, 3.2 APG
A considerable difference though: Tim's averaged a double-double EVERY SEASON. Shaq's had five in which he hasn't.
Different Poles of view
i mean, finley used a abstrac term "egoism", but speacking in concrete terms...WTF duncan had (has?)/have put aside????????
i think the rest is understandable
I too will cry like an unfed, wet baby when Duncan retires. He's my favorite players, possibly ever.
I would love to meet him in person.
I think it's self-explanatory. Finley is saying he puts his ego aside for the team. In other words, he never thumps his chest or talks about how great he is or expects his teammates to kiss his feet. He just wants the team to play well.
exactly, and Pop will yell at him and let him know if he screwed up, treats him like everyone else on the team. a lot of stars in the league would be annoyed by that i'm sure.
Jealous annonymous? Help me out annonymous. Name a Laker star of the modern era, starting with Kareem who hasn't been an asshole?
And your argument is Duncan can't win a championship without Manu execpt he already has.
Wojnarowski - Wojciechowski
Man, I had to put those two last names side by side in order to be convinced they are not the same guy!
mmmmmhhh...really?, i dont recall any...i just recall pop kissing his ass even if he is playing like crap
Does your last name also start with a W, end with an i and has a bunch of consonants in a row?![]()
the 1/2* ring?![]()
how many Spurs games have you watched exactly?
Don't watch the Spurs to much, huh?
Possibly Sean Elliott. When the Spurs retired his jersey Buck Harvey did an article of his 32 favorite Sean Elliott memories (much like the 50 he did for DRob). One of them went something like, "Always concerned with the good of the team, Sean approached the coaching staff to voice his worries that the Spurs latest draft pick was hurting the team's offensive chemistry. They listened politely and then assured him that it was alright. They wanted Tim Duncan to take a lot of shots."
My apologies to everyone if I'm wrong about that.
i just want to people to be objetive, give the credit that manu deserve, and dont overvalue duncan
cya
I've never seen half a ring or an asterisk in the record book.
Since every sane person in the world thinks differently, the onus is on you to prove your argument.
phil jackson and many, many ones are insane?
I'm talking about your Duncan argument.
The asterisk one has been dismissed out of hand.
I doubt anyone thinks Duncan could join say, the Hawks and win a championship. To win a le obviously takes guys willing to fill a role. But you also need that elite level player. With the exception of Detroit in 2004, every team dating back to the '70s has had a megastar catalyst. I think it's safe to say if you were to replace Duncan with someone like Marcus Camby (a good player but by no means a superstar), San Antonio doesn't have the trophy case its built the last eight years.
