Spurs are damn lucky. They are one extra or less shuffle away from still being mediocre.
We were #6, but I think they've adjusted the percentages from year to year, so I have no idea.

I was signing my paperwork to leave for the Marine Corps. I heard the news when I got home and was very happy!!! Crap, I'm still happy about that day.
We were actually #3 that year.
I was still kinda pissed at the refs for giving the series to miami. Man I swear if we would of beat the heat in the 2nd round we would of crushed the bulls and humiliated the Jazz in the finals.![]()
I was going to see my grandmother for the last time in the hospital (she was battling cancer and died a day or two later). It was nice to have a happy moment in a very sad day, and she was happy when my dad and I told her we just landed Duncan.
siting at home doing nothing....
ohh wait...iam still doing that
hahahaha
watching the draft in the electronics section in montgomery wards. At windsor park mall...I just made myself feel my age
Duncan wasn't drafted 10 years ago today.
My story?
I was living at home at the age of 17...I vivedly remeber sitting on the floor in my bedroom re-aranging my basketball cards (which I STILL have, 4 huge binders worth). My dad pretty much broke down the door to tell me, he was a huge spurs fan.....
we watched the Spurs win the 1999 Championship in the hospital together, he passed away 01/02/2000....
I will NEVER give up on my Spurs after they gave that to my dad who had been a fan for more years than I have been alive...
asleep. I was 6 years old. haha I hate being so young
