You have one????
If they don't draft Oden, the sticky icky has made it's way to the FO...
You have one????
I knew it didn't sound right.
Boston can wait another 50 years, and they'd still be too banner rich. Besides, I want the Spurs to have a chance to consolidate and increase that second overall win percentage. Oden in Boston would have been disaster.
This could make Lewis's decision to bolt much easier. Or a S&T more likely.
I don't see Lewis and Durant playing together.
It's currently buried under DKR field after last year's aggie game but I can always go recover it if i have to.
Seriously. Anyone who thinks Oden has a better rookie season than Durant is just someone who has never watched Durant play.
Gonna be fun to watch though.
The good news is!!!
Phoenix got screwed!!!! Yes!!!!
Poor 'ittle Boston. Guess Tommy Heinsohn wasn't that great of a good luck charm.
The bouncing balls never lie, you tank...you lose.
Portland is going to be really really tough.
Jarrett Jack/Sergio Rodriguez
Brandon Roy/Fred Jones
LaMarcus Aldridge/Darius Miles/Travis Outlaw (??)
Zach Randolph/Raef LaFrentz
Greg Oden/Joel Pryzbilla
I know!!! I was pumping my fist when I heard that one!
What's your point? He always does that....
The way their big contracts expire (LaFrentz, Miles, Pryzbilla, Randolph) will be very convenient when looking to resign Rodriguez, Aldridge, Roy and Oden. Yikes.
I guess the ghost of Red didn't help them out. Either that, or the curse of Tom Brady is alive and well in Boston. Pats success = Celts stink.![]()
This so ing funny, just got up..
Boston deserves everything they are getting.
Besides Ainge tampering sitting with Durant's mom, here's another gem from this season:
With two potential franchise players heading this year's draft, there is more attention on the lottery than any year since James was the big prize in 2003. And there sometimes seemed quite a desire to be a part of it.
Strange subs ution patterns and curious injury absences convinced people that some teams were losing games on purpose. Boston coach Doc Rivers opened one postgame news conference by stressing that he wasn't trying to lose. But conspiracy theorists thought they found proof in the final week of the season after the Celtics sat forward Ryan Gomes in the fourth quarter of a loss to the Bucks that clinched the second-worst record.
"I probably (would have played), but since we were in the hunt for a high draft pick, of course things are different," Gomes said after the game. "I understand that. Hopefully things get better. Now that we clinched at least having the second-most balls in the lottery, the last three games we'll see what happens. We'll see if we can go out and finish some games."
Boston has won enough championships for several lifetimes.
Need a pool to see when tlong's first post will be tomorrow, when he gets to work.
I say it will be at 9:45am cst.
I was rooting for Memphis to get one of the top two, unfortunatly they went with four but when #5 I was thinking "Boston" - since they could go no lower than fifth and the the Celtics cards came up my eyes popped out of my head.
ESPN had the best shot of a fan with that "shocked" looked with his hands on his head. I couldn't help but giggle. I recall, they had a team that went to the East Finals a few years back but bad management moves that have just filtered down.
Portland may be happy but what about Seattle? That team appears to be headed to OKC but will Durant (or Oden) help keep the team in Seattle?
Tlong is going nuts right now.
I FEEL SORRY FOR BOSTON. I REALLY AM.
THEY'RE STILL ONE OF THE BEST TEAM ALL-TIME.
SO GOOD LUCK THE NEXT TIME.
No. It's great. No one gets rewarded for tanking. NBA fans will get to see two young, incredible talents play their careers together. It ensures that Oden wont end up like Garnett or McGrady, having to single-handedly carry a bad team. This is like Shaq + Penny - two at udes
We will draft Oden and trade Randolph. We'll move Aldridge to power forward. I think we'll try to trade Randolph with our 4 2nd round picks to Seattle for Lewis. This is the happiest I've been since 1977!
Boston is one of the worst franchises in sports. I'm not talking historically - I mean the last fifteen years or so. Just terrible. It's good one lottery ball won't bail them out.
well, they did tank pretty much the last three months, so i guess they dont really deserve a top 2 pick
