To all those who think this thing is a "wonder of nature" and that it is a "travesty" to be shot:



This is just a really big fat sow that got loose from a pig farm. They breed those things to be enormous (not this enormous but still.)

Once a domestic pig is free in the wild, it rapidly changes into a feral hog. It grows tusks and dark, brittle hair. Its snout changes. And basically, it grows like a weed because it eats anything and eveything in its environment. This thing has probably been wrecking havoc on the food chain and natural environment in its particular area.

This might be the biggest pig ever recorded, but I'm not sure about that.

Either way, not a big ing deal to shoot the monstrosity.

i've hunted these before and i havent seen one over 300 pounds... that er is just unbelievably huge... i agree with others that it shouldnt have been shot... something that big should have been reported first. i just can't imagine seeing it roam around the forest... looks like something from prehistoric times.

i don't think a call to the authorities about a giant feral hog would have resulted in much action. just a hunch.
