Without help, he has been stopping Tim 1 on 1 ?

I've watched every game and I have not seen that happening on any sort of regular basis.
WHo has? Duncan has struggled more with Okur as his primary defender than he did against Camby. Hard to conclude that Okur isn't playing pretty good defense.

I live in San Marcos too. Do you go to TX State or just live here?

    Go there.

I get my master's in math this August; one class in Summer 1 and one class in Summer 2 and I finish.

Okur is playing as good a defense as possible. He is getting help as every team has to do, but he is doing a Yeoman's job, IMO.

Um, I've seen Timmy struggle the last two games. If he isn't scoring and the Spurs aren't getting wide open threes, then where's the double team coming from? Okur has been playing him one on one a lot of this series and Duncan has struggled with it when the Spurs aren't passing the ball and moving. Duncan is one of the most dominant players ever and Okur has played him as well as anyone could expect. The help is coming to strip the ball away if he waits too long to make his move or it's coming from the weakside to try to block his shots. Duncan hasn't been going to the line a lot and the only reason he did in the fourth quarter of game 4 is because the Spurs completely changed their offense to run through him and Manu, and he was finally able to get the defenders out of position. He played most of that quarter with Boozer on him because Okur was in foul trouble.

We probably agree more than we disagree.

So, what I am seeing is that they do not allow Tim to make more than two dribbles without help.

and they are ready to rotate when Tim kicks the ball out to the person throwing the entry pass. So, it must be passed around. Then Vaughn misses the open jumper. ...

No One can guard Tim 1 on 1, without help.
Okur is part of the No One.
    So we agree.

We also agree that Okur with help is doing as well as most other good big men defenders would do with help.

    I can agree with that.

So, it's all about how we are saying things, but I think we all agree.

If I was an NBA GM, I would hire Mike Breen to coach my team before I hired Fred Carter.

The only announcer worse than Breen is Al Micheals and thank god he's history. I don't mind Van Gundy or Jackson but Breen is absolutley horrible. His hatred for the Spurs is so palpable you could slice it with a knife. How I wish the WCF and Finals were on TNT. Kevin Harlan or Marv Albert would be a huge improvement over Breen.
