Lebron would have lost to the Suns.
LeBron
Kobe
Ahh yes....Kobe vs Lebron....Kobe's the standard being compared to Jordan....now all others will be compared to Kobe...that's the difference.
Kobe until you involve passing into the equation
Kobe lost to suns too genius
Exactly my point. Thanks for helping.
Lebron's a good defender himself. And no I am not joking.
Yea, when he wants to. Sometimes he is kind of lazy. Sometimes though he can play some serious defense.
Kobe has been around longer than Lebron, and he is pretty much as good as he will get. Lebron is only in his 4th year and is 22, and clearly has MUCH more room for improvement, and is still considered by many to be a superior player to Kobe.
By next season, Lebron will be setting the standard in the NBA. Personally, I think Wade is a better basketball player than Kobe as well. Kobe is the best scorer in the NBA, and one of the best 5 scorers in NBA history. And that is the difference between guys like Jordan, Bird, Magic, Lebron, Wade, (im not comparing Lebron and Wade to those guys in terms of their greatness, but in the sense that they are more complete basketball players, and do the little things that matter that Kobe doesn't do) and guys like Kobe. Kobe is a great scorer. Guys like Magic and Lebron are great basketball players.

Wow a great display of homerism....Lebron has already leapfrogged Kobe as far as who is closer to Jordan's level. Just when I thought maybe Kobe was learning how to be a team player and not a selfish prick, he pulled his "trade me, no wait dont, yes do, no don't" bull .
Kobe's a more talented scorer, Lebron is better at everything else and at 22 is FAR more mature. It's stupid to compare either of them to Jordan, but if you're going to do it, Lebron is the one that's worthy of comparison, NOT Kobe.
Obviously Kobe is better right now, but Lebron will evolve into a better player. Lebron just looks better playing against a weak Eastern conference.
EXACTLY! Without Shaq, Kobe never would have made it to the Finals. Lebron has taken a team full of nobodies to the Big Dance.
Lebron has taken a team of nobodies to the finals....please.....Still, at 22 Kobe was winning rings and leading his team along side Shaq....And before the playoffs no one was arguing Lebron was better than Kobe.... you guys are dumb. A great playoff run against a dwindled Wiz team, an old Nets team and a crazy Pistons (will give them credit here) and now he's on the level of Jordan, Magic and Bird. Keep yapping chumps, because Kobe's greatness has already been etched in stone. We can talk about stats all you want as well. Lebron averages less points, shoots a little better, horrible at the strip and only averages .6 more assists per game, while only shooting ball what 1.5 less times. Oh, and Kobe's also more efficient than Lebron, oh and scores more points. Let's not even talk about defense, while Lebron is a great athlete, let's get some 1st team all D awards first. We'll see the truth this coming world championship.

so are you saying that a rookie Kobe on the Cavs team that Lebron inheritied, would have taken the Cavs farther than Lebron has taken them?
please, shut the up.
Lebron hasnt proved anything yet. Cant believe you guys are even comparing him to Kobe.
Also i laugh at all the Wade > Kobe people.
kobe. Lebron's supporting cast is much better than anyone gives them credit for.
Seems fair to compare their last two seasons, doesn't it?
Kobe has been healthy under Phil Jackson these two seasons past, and Kobe is in year three by himself. LeBron is in year four, but only in his second year under the Spurs East regime, and plus Kobe has an advantage in NBA experience. OTOH, LeBron plays in a weaker conference. On the whole, Kobe and LeBron are playing under remarkably equivalent cir stances - at least until the playoffs begin.
So how do they rate?
First of all, they have played in exactly the same number of regular season games - 157 of them, to be precise. LeBron has played 134 more minutes in those same 157 games.
LeBron is better from the field, .478 to .456; Kobe is better from the line, .859 to .720
How do these players rate along the same line? Here they are, per 40 minutes:
LeBron
28.1 PP40
6.6 RP40
6.1 AP40
1.5 SP40
0.7 BP40
Kobe
32.8 PP40
5.4 RP40
4.8 AP40
1.6 SP40
0.4 BP40
Of course, I'm not quite done. These performances must be compared with their teams' total output to place their production in context. Stay tuned...
"So Lebron, how does it feel to get double, sometimes triple teamed the WHOLE game?"
Now you know how it feels to be Kobe for the whole year.
^ Exactly. That's the kind of defense Kobe faces all 82 games in the Western Conference.
How many teams played that kind of defense on Lebron in the Eastern conference? Heck it took 5.5 games for the Pistons to figure it out!
Kobe, like all other players, can only play a maximum of 52 games a year in conference and 30 games a year out of conference.
