Is it safe to have both Firefox and IE loaded? I read in another forum that loading both would create problems like crashes or one of the browsers would be deleted.
thanks!!
Mine quite frequently freezes up on IE & Firefox. I never experience that problem with Opera. Everyone of the browsers has pluses and minuses.

Firefox by far. IE sucks ass.
chrome beats both of those.
to be fair, i've never used safari (but i hate mac's) or opera.
Thanks for your answer! But is it safe to have both?![]()
Chrome plz.
I think it's probably safe to have both. I have IE but wanted to try Firefox because of all the raves in threads such as this one. I dl'd and had both for a while going back and forth so I could make a good comparison. Didn't cause any damage/trouble with both on there. The most trouble I had was removing the FF when I found there was absolutely no advantage over what I already had.
Speed-Chrome, Opera and then FF
Security-FF, Chrome
Add-ons-FF
For my netbook, I use chrome with only addblock add-on on it. But FF is second for overall if I'm on my desktop.
Chrome, FF, Opera, and Safari are all better than IE!
Ok thanks! That's the answer I was looking for.![]()
What's explorer?
Just joking. No contest. Firefox. Just put it on my new computer I bought today.
Ich...
I had to download it through explorer.
shouldn't we compare firefox and chrome ?
why even put IE into the equation ?
This is the correct answer.
This, Chrome is by far the fastest out of all of these and it's fairly simple and easy to use.
I have Firefox and Opera
Plus, Opera is great because it has a built-in Torrent client
IE
Google Chrome
I hardly use anything except Chrome. Occasionally some web sites don't like it and then I use Firefox. And even more rarely, there are sites that only seem to want IE.
I tried Chrome, but I just wasn't feelin' it. It was fast enough, but the UI struck me as a bit slapdash or quickly thrown together. In addition, there were still too many sites that didn't support it, or it didn't support it, depending on your POV. I may wait for it to cook a little longer and try it again in a year or so. For now, I'm back to FF with my AVG and a few other plugins. The amount of plug ins and add ons that FF has is really the scale tipper for me.
I use Firefox and love it much more than IE.
I'm forced to use IE at work ...

IE if you please
i use 6, 7 and 8 and soon 9!
i use IE cause i know what i am doing and dont get all the problems that some people have with it.
i guess if you need all those plug-ins then by all means go FF, but the UI on crome is so much more sleek, its faster, more secure, and searching for anything is a cinch. i don't even go to google anymore now that i got crome, it does the work for me. you don't even have to search in the tab either you can just copy and it automatically opens a tab to search. plus all of the google docs utilities work smoother on it. it doesn't take up a overbearing amount of space like before when i ran ff/ie on the same computer, so i switched all my work computers to it, plus it works great on my netbook as well. i'd even switch my book over to crome OS if it wasn't for the fact that i'm not always online when i'm on it.
