Burgers? You're in San Antonio! Get some Taco Cabana! When in Rome, ya know?
Taco Cabana? I miss me some Las Palapas and Bill Miller. Ah, Bill Miller...always a spit in the wind away.

Anyone ever tried Longhorn out on Blanco? Is it still there? Went there once when I was in town.

Longhorn is still alive and kick'in and it rocks. Got a second one out on I-10 going to Leon Springs which brings me to my next point. The OG RUDYS!!!! Now that is some good eats! (BBQ BTW)

I haven't been to either of these places in a while but Rolando's Super Tacos and Taco Riendo were good the last time I went.

Longhorn is still there. I've never been overly impressed with them

There are better places for mexican and barbeque, but those three are timeless or something. It ain't great, it ain't bad...it's just goodness.

I miss those in the NE. Better than Steak n Shake.
I like Whataburger just fine, but when I was in Marion, Ohio, I loved Steak 'n'; Shake.

I thought they were going to come to San Antonio a few years ago....what happened?

I am a "mystery shopper" for Whataburger, so if anyone has any *specific* complaints about their food not being hot, bad lettuce, etc., and you can give me the specific restaurant involved, I will let their consumer site know. PM me with details.

Actually, I've never given a really really bad review, especially related to the staff. I hate to dump on people who are making minimum wage if they're trying at all. Usually I try to find something positive to say about the staff member I dealt with so that they will get kudos.

I'm probably too much of a bleeding heart to do this sort of thing, but anyway...I get free meals out of it.

If I have a problem with a company whether it is the food service or whatever, I just leave and email the company directly

Here in California, the burger of choice is IN-N-OUT Burger.

They are awesome. IF ya can get to Vegas they are out there too.

For years, I've seen many car stickers that show people who have the In-n-Out urge.

Back in college years I worked at the Whataburger in Kingsville. The noon runs were frantic and then being located on the business route whenever a bus would pull in, man. it cranked up to ridiculous.
As I had knowledge of the fries, veggies, buns etc, y'all have it pegged right with the little quirks those items had when they got cold!

    A bit about WB Catchup...

It's without a doubt the best. Whenever I go I always get extra that I set aside for when I get fries from any other place, and there have also been a few times that I got burgers and fries elsewhere and stopped at WB and told them I forgot to get catchup.

When I go to other places I don't even ask for catchup, I use WB catchup or I use what I have at home.

Not only is it damn good, but you get a lot of catchup when you open one, and they are easy to open, rather than opening a half dozen packets....
