Let the players have the appropriate fear.

I'll just sit back and relax, since I have little bearing on the game anyway.

Im just cautiously optimistic. While I dislike our chances going to Cleveland after winning 2, I am sure of what this team is capable of. The Spurs are playing very well as a team at at high level. Really all we need is for some of our role players to knock down some (Finley and Barry) open shots and keep moving the ball on offense. Defensively just keep doing what we have been doing.

How come they only get a one day layoff after traveling on the road?? Im not complaining because it just means less time I have to wait for a game. Just curious why not two days rest??

That's a generous guestimate of how many Spurs fans are going to read this and put their brooms back into the closet.
    Bad guess.

    exactly

dont be sizing up the champ t shirts yet, but dont be scared to death that you'll be doing a lebron on your damn fingernails all night.
I think that's the hardest place to be: in limbo. It's easier to choose a frame of mind rather than just wait and see. I don't give those stats too much credence -- remember, the Cavs fans keep reminding us ad nauseam how they beat us in the regular season -- but it's a good thing to keep in mind.

As much as I know this series is over and don't subscribe to Timvp's theory that what the fans think actually affects the game somehow - although some can be annoying - there is merit here.

Despite the Pistons eeking by the Cavs, they still won the first two games, and everybody was already talking about how boring a Spurs vs. Pistons finals. Cavs won 4 in a row.

Second, the Spurs haven't won at Cleveland yet. 2-0 is nice, but its what you're supposed to do with HCA.

The Dallas/Miami example is pretty applicable here. The only difference is Miami had a lot more weapons than Cleveland.

I'll stick with Spurs in 5, but the Cavs could easily win tonight and then there would be a lot of scurrying going around.

    8 - Matt Bonner
That's the most points a Spur outside of the Big Three has scored against the Cavs this season. That's truly amazing after four games. The Big Three is having its way, but the Cavs have done a nice job of shutting down everyone else. Because the Spurs are unable to get any help from outside the Big Three, a slump by a couple members of the Big Three could turn this series around in a heartbeat.
I don't think I read this right, but I'm reading it as nobody has scored more than 8 outside of Manu, Tony, and Tim in 2 regular season games and 2 playoff games against the Cavs.

I just looked at the box scores of Games 1 and 2 and Elson has 5 and 6, (5+6) = 11.

    I must be missing something.

^I think he means in a single game out of the 4....every game the 4th leading scorer behind the Big 3 had scored less than 8 points. Which is a big concern....

1998-99 San Antonio Spurs 4-1 New York Knicks

2002-03 San Antonio Spurs 4-2 New Jersey Nets

2004-05 San Antonio Spurs 4-3 Detroit Pistons

Spurs have given up 1, 2 and 3 wins for their opponents in the Finals.

They will hit for the cycle this year and win 4-0

if cleveland can win games 3 & 4, then i may think about scurrying.

    but that's not gonna happen.

Eh... I don't like the trend of those numbers!

OK, I would not be surprised if the Cavs win tonight. They will play their best game of the series, and the Spurs are due for an off-night.

That said: Robert Horry is in the mode. He can smell that 7th ring. I don't know if he'll go off tonight, in game 4, or game 5, but he will win a game for us.

Well, the problem with picking Spurs in 5, as I have done, is that they'll have to lose or forfeit a game. Since I don't see them forfeiting, I'm guessing they lose one of the next 2. SFIE and I are disagreed on which that will be; I think tonight is the night, but SFIE think the Spurs can/will pull it out. He thinks that other factors will ensure a game 4 loss (whether that is complacency, expectation, desperation or officiating I leave to the audience to decide).

Definitely think the Spurs will win 1 and lose 1 of the next 2.

I will still say that Spurs are gonna sweep. I didn't jump on the bandwagon after 2 wins, I put my vbookie on it before the series started.

This '07 team has the killer instinct. They are not gonna let this one slip away.

That 4th quarter "scare" in game 2 couldn't have been choreographed more perfectly.

Spurs will have appropriate fear and blow them out again from the opening tipoff.

For fans? What appropriate fear should the fans have? That the Spurs might decide not to show up? So much for "believe".

Maybe it means I need to have a healthy respect for that cap I twist off that bottle of Shiner tonite while intently watching the game and not just casually twist and toss it.

    Nice work Timvp.

Interesting how the Spurs fans who walk around with the "top of the world" mentality when the team is up 2-0 are usually the first ones jumping off buildings when the team loses.

Expect a lot of "the world is ending" threads should the Spurs lose game 3...Spursdynasty would probably slit his wrists should the Spurs drop games 3 AND 4.
