A friend of mine is a Cowboys fans and goes to the games when they play down here, theres a reason Cowboy fans call it their "Home away from home." Its probably a 50/50 crowd

There are as many Cowboys fans here as Cards fans, especially among people old enough to remember the days before the Cardinals were in AZ.

I live in AZ, and I was flying to San Jose a few weeks ago. This was when the Spurs were playing the Suns, the day of game 3 in SA. At the gate next to mine, a plane landed, and people started walking into the airport. I noticed one....two...three....ten people wearing Spurs jerseys? I stop one guy who walked over to where I was (he was going to SJ, too- just changing planes in PHX). I asked him if the plane came from SA, of course, he said yes. I told him that's a lot of silver and black to be here in AZ. His reply was "that's the way it should be."
I pulled out my Duncan jersey out of my bag, and said, "Yes it is. Thanks for bringing the reinforcements!"

Its weird because in the 90's everyone and their mom had a Bulls jersey, and no one ever took umbrage in any part of the country.
Why can't the Spurs be respected universally like that? I mean for better or worse this team is the Bulls of this decade.
My Maryland licence plate is "SA Spurs" and only once in the last five years has anyone waved in approval. My next door neighbor told me SASpurs has a meaning in Slovak.

ThereŽs a ton, but the same could be said of Bears fans, or really any other really popular football team. I personally donŽt like the Cowboys, but IŽm not that big on football. The Cardinals are a disgrace to the league.

We love San Antonio. Most folks love their home towns. Of course, when your home town is also home to a multi-championship sports team, that helps.
