Some states allow 16-year-olds (maybe 15 too, I'm not sure) to marry with their parents' written consent, which she had. So the legality of the marriage isn't an issue. What was going on before the marriage is the problem. That's two years (14-16) of potentially hot fornication between a minor and an old turd. If she's stupid enough to do this, then she deserves what's coming up. Imagine a healthy 26-year-old woman married to a useless 50-year-old prune with ED. Bingo!
Her parents are morons for signing off on it. If she wants to ruin their lives, make her earn it and wait two more years to get married. Maybe she would've woken up at some point.

The issue here isn't Kori & LJ. They were both of legal age when they met so their age difference doesn't matter. It could be be 5 years or 20 years and have no bearing on this issue. This story is relevant because one of the parties was 14 when they started an affair and the other was 38 and in a position of authority over her. Now she is 16 and he is 40 and they have married. She was and still is a minor. That's the relevant point.
