It will keep him out of the broadcast booth so i'm all for it.
Reggie won't come back.

The R in Reggie stands for Retired. Take a hint.
Let's evolve past the latest "lets bring back the next old, retired guy and win him a le" suggestions.
, if that's what it takes to light the PO fire and get the Spurs to dominate I say pick up an old, decrepid, le-less lost NBA soul and let it motivate.
They won the 99' for DRob!! (although DRob was a huge contributor it got the monkey off his back)
They won the '03 for Willis!!
They won the '07 for Finley!!
Who's next?
Wow I know you guys really want to get your lines in, but this one takes the cake as the worst. Talk about forcing it.
Anyways, I mispoke on the 12th man thing. Coachmac or whoever it was is right - Reggie has too much pride to be a 12th man and that's not what I had originally thought of him as anyway. I was thinking more like a Brent Barry role.
worst line in the history of sports forums....

1. Reggie played decent defense when he was younger. Obviously, that was a long time ago, but I couldn't let that one go.
2. Reggie will never play for any other team; he has made it abundantly clear for many years that he is a Pacer for life. Reggie wanted to be among the last players to play their entire career with one team.
3. Reggie could have jumped ship at any point after 2001-2002 season, and never did so. Of course, the Pacers were a good team (for EC) until the 2004-2005 season. Man, talk about retiring at the right time!
The Pacers have always been my favorite team, since I grew up in Indiana. However, they are completely unwatchable right now. They haven't been this bad since the mid '80s. Just painful. I feel sorry for the team that ends up giving a max deal to Jermaine O'Neal.
Friendly Bump to see if any opinions have changed.
No. He's still old. Besides, he shoots FTs at WAY too high a clip to ever be a Spur.
You may not want to sprain that shoulder patting yourself on the back until he actually signs somewhere.
I never voiced an opinion in this thread. But considering that Reggie played horrid defense even in his prime, I'll pass.
the barracuda should stay retired
I'm not even sure, he's what the Spurs need right now anyway, but I got the/
from some of the posters on my idea when it really wasn't that far fetched.
If he plays for the C's, he gives them a huge boost in the playoffs. I hope he signs so I can go for the green in the playoffs this year.

Isn't George Gervin a free agent? Or maybe Larry Kenon (he's still alive, right?)
Is Reggie a point guard yet?
Wasn't there already a thread on this topic way back in June?
Oh wait.
u are a dumb ass....go shout trashcan b-ball!!!!!!!!!!!
Reggie is gonna sign with the Suns!
Our ratings are going to be even higher and we will score 140 points per game!!
The Suns are going to Save the NBA!!!
It's great to be champs at something. Right, Suns Fan?
I think Reggie would go to an Eastern Conference team if he came out of retirement... key word: "if"
