4 championships tells me Pop and R.C. know what they are doing
Marcus did a decent job on Green with Boston. He blew out a shoe when someone from the Celts stepped on his foot, so he had to revert to a white pair of shoes for the 2nd half. At least he scored a few points in that pair.
R.C. said on a recent radio interview that he spent some time scouting Williams. He went to U of Arizona and watched Marcus in practice, so Buford apparently had done more than just watch him on ESPN.

RC was the one that convinced Pop to take Parker in the draft. That's 2007 Finals MVP Tony Parker mind you.
Oh, and he and Pop found Ginobili. I'd say they know what they're doing, wouldn't you?
I was hoping for the Spurs to get Bellinelli but Nelly took him way ahead of his projected spot by most draftniks. He would have eventually filled the #2 in 2008. I just wonder how many shots will be left for after Davis, Harrington ane Jackson get theirs.
I think R.C. should lose his job over his failure to trade up to #1 to grab Oden. Doesn't he know that the long-term health of this franchise depends on getting another big guy with the potential to dominate. R.C. should have offered Portland Beno, Barry, Butler, Bonner, and a couple of first round picks to get that #1 pick. His failure to convince the Blazers to make a deal like that tells me that he has no long-term view and doesn't really care about the future.
FromWayDowntown - excellent point! RC's total lack of foresight will eventually ruin this team. Frankly he should have offered the reast of the tam and thrown in the Silver Dancers to Seattle for the #2 pick. With those two studs all we need to do is sign some stiffs to fill out the bench and can you say"REPEAT!"
Do you expect R.C. to be perfect?
Exactly.
