Dude check yourself Pistons would have beat the lakers with old man Karl in there. They came back the next year and were 2 min from going back to back. Have another drink

Dallas. Knowing that you failed and completely let everyone down is on a whole different level than any of the other teams' motivations. Whether they can translate this motivation into the ability to win or they will let the pressure get the better of them again remains to be seen.
I think the Suns' rationalizations indicate that they are in denial about the need to take their game to a different level before they're ready to win anything that matters.

suns are not in denial about anything. there game is right up there.
pistons would've swept with karl malone's geritol taking ass playing.
Detroit deserved the trophy. The '05 Pistons and the '06 Mavs are by far the toughest opponents the Spurs have had the past three years. One thing I'll credit Detroit for is winning that game 6 on the road to force a game 7 against the Spurs. The S0ns had the same opportunity this year. Instead of playing like a true contender Phoenix fell apart and ended up getting blown out for most of the game. S0ns=soft. If you can't force a game 7 on the road you sure as aren't a true contender(Spurs forced a game 7 last year in Dallas when they were down 3-2)

check ... um, yourself, i guess. the "would of" and "what ifs" mean jack. they beat a lakers team without malone, a lakers team that had beaten the spurs with malone and a spurs team that, the next year, beat the pistons (albeit with some different pieces, but the cores remained). since that le, they have not repeated and got ousted by a cavs team that clearly, clearly should not have gotten to the finals; and an aged heat team that certainly went on to get the le but didn't make it out of the first round the following year, further throwing their accomplishment into question. the pistons lost four straight games to a cavs team that subsequently got swept from the playoffs. they were two mins from a le, much like the mavs were two wins from one. the whole point is anyone can legitimately question that championship and does that provide more motivation for the pistons than the other rationales does for the other teams.
I wonder if Timmy will be motivated this year to prove he's worth $1 mil more than Rashard Lewis.![]()
Truth hurts for the sensitive S0ns fans. S0ns are not a top tier team. If they were they would have been able to force a game 7 on the opponent's court(like the Pistons did in '05 and the Spurs did in '06)
