Good, just give Williams the ball and let him figure it out.
Sanikidze finally plays real minutes and we couldn't watch the game. Williams line looked impress if you take out his FG%.
Hopefully this is one of the games that is replayed on NBAtv.
Good, just give Williams the ball and let him figure it out.
Byars only got 3 shots but the rest of his statline wasn't bad. 5 rebs, 3 as/1 to, 2 blocks. But this is what should happen for the rest of the league: give Williams the ball and figure out his spots and ways.
Well, the Sixers were leading 63-32 at the half. Given that, I wonder how much of Williams' and Sanikidze's stats were inflated by playing in garbage time summer league minutes
Either way, the fact that Sanikidze has seemingly played well in summer leagues when not matched up with Corey Brewer gives hope for him in the future. Maybe not this year but he's still alive as a prospect.
How long has Sanikidze been playing BB?
They will replay this game on Wednesday at noon. They will also replay the Hawks game on Thursday at noon.
Nice. Where'd you find out?
According to Ludden Sanikidze's problem is that he makes Prince look like Christie Alley on a Krispy Kreme binge.
I just looked through the guide on my Time Warner TV.![]()
And yet he's still projecting to be the best rebounder we have had at the position since ElliotT.
Is there a line for Williams? I can't find it on NBA.com.
Thanks. Glad to see he finally started to assert himself. His FG% will come. He'll be a fine player if he can figure this stuff out. Like Mr. Body said, just let him touch the ball once every three possessions and deal with it.
Marcus Williams had 14pts 8rebs 4asts 2blks and 5turns.
Good lookin' line for a kid who was struggling so much. Thanks.
Turnovers will be an issue until he finds his feet. Once comfortable, however, his ability is unreal.
I know some of you are probably tired of hearing me rant and rave about Williams, but I'll say it again, the 20-11 Wilcats were 9-2 when Williams scored 20 or more points. When he's one, he's a winner. He needs to find consistacy with his stroke, improve his ballhandling in traffic and keep up the defensive intensity, but he's a winner and it looks like he's starting to get it again.
Good thinking.
With Butler gone, the Spurs might as well just give Williams all the touches he can handle to see if they have anything. He was underwhelming in Vegas but perhaps he can get in some sort of a groove now that he should be the number one option.
Just milk him for the next four games and see if he's worth a roster spot.
BTW, I wonder if White is hurt or if the Spurs told him that he's not going to make the team and let him go early.
They're getting rid of him. Book it.
Baby Jesus cries every time someone writes stuff like ^^^.
Pity Baby Jesus.
Correct me if im wrong here, but isnt consitancy with stroke, ballhandling and defensive intensity pretty important in basketball????
have you a link for the boxscore ?
WHO'S HOT: Louis Williams, 76ers -- Fresh from a strong showing the NBA Summer League at Las Vegas, where he averaged 25.2 points and 5.0 over five games, Williams continued his hot hand as Philadelphia opened the seven-team, 16-game Revue with 91-75 win over San Antonio.
Williams logged just 15 minutes Friday, but he sent the 76ers into halftime with a commanding 63-32 lead by scoring 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field and 7-for-7 shooting from the free-throw line.
The 20-year-old also committed just one turnover during that span.
Philadelphia's reserve point guard did not play at all in the second half.
Also hot for the Sixers on Friday was hustle-happy forward Louis Amundson, who finished with 17 points, shot 6-of-8 from the field and pulled down 11 rebounds in 30 minutes.
Sixers 2007 lottery pick Thaddeus Young, from Georgia Tech, had a game-high 19 points.
WHO'S NOT: Marcus Williams, Spurs -- Selected in the second round of the 2007 draft, the University of Arizona product hit just 4-of-14 from the field in San Antonio's loss to Philadelphia.
Williams did have eight rebounds in 34 minutes, but he had five turnovers in that span as well.
Cold in the same game was 2007 first-rounder Jason Smith. The Philadelphia center from Colorado State started and played 21 minutes, but made just one of his eight shots from the field.
Meanwhile, one of Atlanta's first-round draft picks this year -- former Texas A&M point guard Acie Law -- opened the Revue just 3-of-13 from the field.

Guarantee Ludden puts a positive spin on it, if he writes about it.
Get used to seeing Marcus Williams in a Spurs uni....I'm pretty sure he's here to stay.
Anyone know if White is sitting out because of the injury or because they've given up on him?
I talked to Chip and a couple of staffers who were assisting him after the game and they just said hegot the day off when I posed the question. It kinda made me think he is either getting dealt or that Flight was a little tooin Vegas and needed a day to sleep it off. But White was really friendly with Chip, joking around and all smiles after the game, so who knows, it's prolly just the ankle.
I happened to be sitting next to one of Thaddeus Young's family members at the game too. He could be a good project to be an understudy for Bruce. 6.8" athletic, likes to shoot from the corners, and a decent hustle player. I was also impressed by Morris Almond. He has a great stroke and will likely contribute for Utah. His folks were at the game and they were really good people too. The guy I assumed was his dad was obviously really proud of the kid.

Damn I really wanted Almond
