hey fellow Pinoys, any ideas how long before that DVD is released here in the Phil?
I don't know. From what I remember, I often get those championship DVDs from video outlets last quarter of each year. Sucks.

Thanks for all the info! I can't wait to get it on Tuesday!

    I didn't know that there would be Oberto/Horry/Finley features...Awesome!

I am upset that it seems like Bruce Bowen didn't get a feature...and he was a huge part of the win. His defense on Lebron...his clutch 3 against the Suns in game five...and etc. I'd assume he'd get a feature, too...

Any good stuff with the training camp stuff in Paris? And wasn't there also supposed to be a Pop midseason speech?

I agree that Bruce should have gotten his own feature. However, during the season-long recap, lots of things come through. First, Bruce's defense is really praised. It shows him guarding Nash and shutting him down, then it shows him doing the same to LeBron. Several Spurs credit him for doing so much. The clutch 3 against Phoenix is in the highlight too.

They have an entire feature on the Paris training camp (which is also included in the year recap). It was actually pretty funny because Pop and Manu have a really funny moment. I won't spoil it for you.

There is a Pop midseason speech covered during the year recap. It is around the Rodeo roadtrip time when the Spurs stood pat and didn't make a trade, and during practice, he emphasized paying attention and executing.

This one was very well done.

A case of they know they'll never have another one? I already have a box set: 1999,2003,2005, and soon 2007.

I was really looking forward to seeing the Paris training camp stuff...once I heard it will be on the DVD. I always like seeing behind the scenes stuff about the players.

Everything sounds really good. I just hope I can get it at Best Buy or something like that here in Los Angeles. Usually, the SA championship DVD is hard to find in LA...lol.

By the way, who is on the cover of the DVD? Manu or Oberto? That was the big question among fans...cuz we have seen two possible versions.

Just got it today. I always love watching those DVD's because you forget so much stuff from the season.

They didn't use any porno music this year like they used for the main menu music on the 2003 DVD (watch it again, you'll hear what I mean and die laughing).

I loved the SICK move that Tony put on Boobie in the finals when he double crossed him at the free throw line on a fast break to score a lay-in (They even slowed it down). Out of all the highlights, I missed that during the series.

And, how 'bout those early Duncan highlights?!

    Very slick DVD.

dude... email it to me.. [email protected]

It's set up like the others. Top three- TD, Finley, TP. Bottom three- Manu, Bowen, and Pop.

So Manu is on the official cover. I thought he would be...that cover with Oberto on it was probably just an early cover...

By the way, about the Manu/Pop moment you mentioned...does it have anything to do with "detras"...lol...how to say "backwards in spanish"...Cuz that was already shown on the nbc site...

Yes. Pop asked Manu how to say backwards in Spanish. Manu told him "Para atraz". Pop repeated it, then laughed. He said something like, "He's probably telling me something else."

    It was really funny.

LOL! that's funny! Actually, the part where you said that Pop said "he's probably telling me something else" was not shown! Only the first bit about him asking Manu how to say "backwards" in Spanish...

Any good footage of any funny stuff between the players?

Lots of stuff. Since they rehashed a lot of the old championships stuff, you get the good stuff like when TP was a rookie and Pop told him to stop talking so much to the media. The whole time, Pop has this stern tone of voice and TP is barely containing his smile. Finally, TP says, "But Pop, I'm just trying to be a nice guy like you." Pop cracks up.

Plus, the rehash of this season splices in lots of clips from interviews.

    I'm thrilled with the DVD.

That was very funny! I've seen that a bunch of times. I think that was actually TP's second year with the Spurs since Manu is right next to him...I just wish they would include new stuff, new material...I love all the extra stuff from previous years, but it feels like I've seen it all. I would have loved to see the never before seen stuff...

Either way, I'm getting the DVD as soon as it comes out...I love watching all the highlights especially...

Everyone knows it was tough especially for Manu in the 2006 loss to Dallas. Did they include a ton of comments from him and other players about the foul on Dirk?

p.s. sorry for all the questions! I'm just excited about getting the DVD in a few days...

No problem with all the questions. I feel like this is the price I must pay for apparently being the first one in ST to get one. Now I know what a tour guide at the Grand Canyon must feel like.

Mostly with the Manu Dallas foul in 2006, they didn't cover it a whole lot, just to set the tone for the upcoming 2006-2007 season and how it focused the Spurs. There were a couple of quotes from Finley about how tough it was to see his former teammates moving on.

    ***SPOILER WARNING***

Those of you who don't like knowing what you're getting before Christmas morning, read no further.

It starts out with the end of the (cough cough) 2006 playoffs loss to Dallas. Then follows training camp and the season. It ends by going series by series through the championship. Lots of highlights from the season, both good and bad.

    Bonus features are:
Spurs first le win in '99
    2003 Game 6 recap
    2005 Game 7 recap
    '06-'07 training camp in France
    Tony and Eva
    Tony Parker rookie diary
    Manu's style of play (awesome)
    Manu returns to Argentina
    Robert Horry clutch perfomer (awesome)
    Finley's road to the finals
    Fabricio Oberto Focus
NBA Vault- Duncan's top 10 career plays
NBA Vault- Spurs Dynasty top 10

It is VERY slick. You're gonna like it.
Not that I saw. I posted the Bonus features in this earlier reply. The closest thing is how they recap the clinching game for each championship, but nothing like the 2003 entire fourth quarter feature.
