I started diving in '95 while in Minnesota so I could have an excuse to travel to someplace warmer to escape the winter, but I haven't been diving since '97-'98.

I knew this one guy in Saskatoon who was a certified diver, and he had to dive into a lake in February because a cow had fallen through some ice into the drinking water supply.

I have a friend who is a diver in the police special anti-terrorist unit. He had to "dive" the sewers of Ljubljana to check for bombs before Clinton's visit a few years back. We of course made fun of him for a while until he brought photos of this "dive" - nobody made fun of him anymore (come to think of it, nobody has ever invited him into his home after it )
