lower greenville is still cool, even though the cavern isn't quite the same as it was in 97. deep ellum sure has gone totally ghetto though, used to be fun there in the mid to late 90s.
I wish I had time to explore the area more. The most exploring I've done is to some churches in the area.

I don't really understand it either, but apparently there's an Upper and Lower Greenville...it's off to the East of the star. One side is better or something. Less snazzy.

downtown is more the 35/75/45 area if I'm correct. Someone who is more familiar with the area can probably give you the exact location. SMU/Greenville/Mockingbird is within 10 minutes of it, though.
my best friend got a full ride to SMU out of v-town. i think he had the only single cab s-10 on campus. it was fun going up there, he knew all these rich es who would buy him drinks everywhere.
