like what? If you're talking about needing programs, spreadsheets, crazy stuff like that, then the sidekick is a toy you don't need. So if you just need it for texting, then any QWERTY phone would work for you.

Wasn't there a story about people being pissed about Myspace blocking out mobile users who didn't sign up for a monthly Myspace Mobile subscription? I think Myspace sold out to Verizon or someone and if you try and access their site through a mobile browser, it detects it and doesn't let you get past the login page.

A PDA with the right programs would help you out with the texts, but a laptop could be your "Clubbin' Control Center".
