You think that Beno is useless, not sure Spurs have the same opinion.
You think that there are a lot of good 3rd string PGs available, not sure Spurs have the same opinion.
There are facts too : Beno is still with Spurs and Spurs are looking at Hudson.
These facts prove that Spurs haven't the same evaluation on players than you: either Spurs have some offer for Beno on the table and wait to get a good 3rd string PG to pull the trigger or Spurs have no offer at all for Beno.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Beno is willing to play out the string. He hasn't demanded a release to go back to Europe. We will keep him until some advantage appears. In all honesty he is better than what the Cavs brought off the bench in the finals. He needs the same kind of chance that Steve Blake had with the GS- play in a system that suits him. I don't think Hudson has that mentality. No minutes for 10 games, garbage time, no minutes for 4 games then garbage time etc. We don't need a complainer!
Sigh.....Im scared to go here, but maybe Beno will finally get out of the doghouse this year. I recall Malic Rose being in the doghouse a lot too. Give him some playing time and see if the kid has learned anything. At the very least, he could showcase for a potential trade later in the year. We forget this kid still has some talent. Id like to see him get a little pt and see what the kid does. Im probably completly wrong, but who knows.

Do or do not, there is no try
A workout tells a lot more. Why are you upset about him working out? It gives the Spurs a better idea of what they are getting.
I don't like Hudson's game that much.
Is the money Beno makes as a 3rd string PG in the right ballpark? If so, he might be the best option at that position. If they have Beno on the roster next year, I don't see why he can't be at the SG position sometimes. He is a good shooter, and can create his own shot. Keeping Beno as a 3rd string PG/SG combo guard might be better than giving him away, and signing someone like Hudson.
hudsons a baller
I don't really like Hudson, but if the Spurs sign him then that makes other teams with a need at the point more willing to give up a second rounder or a ham sandwich for Beno.
If he can stay healthy and doesnt cost too much why not? Guy can shoot, and when he actually was getting minutes was pretty good.
Plus it would be nice to have a backup point guard who can hit a shot once in awhile
Does he still have that french poodle Spree Jr thing going? He'll have to lose that garbage...
why
is it alway?
sj wore a headband
isn't that exactly what Vaughn did?
20-50 in the playoffs isnt exactly what I had in mind.
He hit some nice shots, but it wasnt consistent.
It would be nice to get some points fom the bench at that position is all Im saying
he is an immense improvement over Beno. sign him!
Spurs taking the usual route of going for an over-the-hill player and failing to pick out a young talent instead. Boo, scouting!
If they have a taker for Beno, they should push him off right away and save salary, finding a replacement. There will be plenty of guys willing to take the third spot for the minimum. Hudson is a fine risk at that position for pennies, as long as he doesn't expect automatic playing time (and Pop doesn't fall in love with him unnecessarily). Low risk at minimum, though it advances if Pop sees Van Exel in him.
Can you please take the time to ing speak English? With all your posts, one would think you'd ing proof read at some point.
He is not worth more than the Vet. Minimum...... If the Spurs are able to guarantee only so much than it would be ok because it may not cost them as much....
He is very streaky but when he is on, he is on.... But then again we went through the same thing with Nick Van Exel and he turned out to be a bust. The Spurs should have gone after someone like Jason Hart but its too late now.....
I am just hoping that the Spurs can land Udoka so that they have two solid defenders......
How old was Van Exel when the Spurs got him, like 34 or 35? And wasnt he coming off a major injury? I dont think comparing Hudson to Van Exel is a very fair comparison other than them having similar games. But even then, at hudsons age, Van Exel was still putiing up some pretty decent numbers
Troy Hudson's defense makes Van Exel 2006 look like Van Exel 2001.
I would rather see Vaughn run the point than troy freakin hudson....F that..
I think the abstract comparison is that Hudson, unlike NVE is high-risk-minimal reward. NVE was at least high-risk, high reward. It could work, but the fear is that he'd need solid, consistant minutes to excel in our system or any system...and he won't get them here. He'd have to prove he could defend at an average rate for those minutes-which he can't. The way Pop is and has worked is that you have to break your back during the 4-minute-a-game "tryout" period that he'd have Hudson at for the first 35 games of the season. Hudson would complain publicly...the lockerroom would get wierd and Pop don't play that. He'd be cut and it'd be a failed experiment. Rather than take a chance, let's just stick with Beno.
people think spurs can get a steve nash player for a third point guard or second point guard
unreal
Listening to STSA, Jeff and Walter thought they were pretty badass to have "broken" this story today haha.
